    Pros

    Work with great people, Class A properties, great company reputation, great benefits and pay. I also really enjoy the ability to help out at multiple properties within the region. I currently help manage three different properties in the area.

    Cons

    Nothing really comes to mind. I am very happy and satisfied with my current position.

    Pros

    They invest very much in their employees. If you work hard, you get recognized for it. Most of the employees have long tenure. If new projects are acquired, you are considered if you do a good job with your assignments.

    Cons

    Because people are so happy, they don't have a high turnaround. Hence, it is hard to move up. Third party managed properties can cancel the property management agreement leaving you jobless...if they don't have a high presence in your area, you will be looking for a new job.

    Advice to Management

    Try to negotiate third party management agreements longer than a year, require higher notice before it can be canceled.

    Pros

    Great place to work for. This company allows for a lot of freedom in regards to how you want to direct your career. There is property management, asset management, construction, facility, engineering, energy management, and the list goes on an on.

    Cons

    The biggest downside to this organization is location of properties. If you are in a geographical area where the company only holds one or two accounts you will have to move locations to be promoted, and that may mean moving clear across the country in some cases.

    Advice to Management

    Senior management is not very involved.

    Pros

    Good work life balance, pay is reasonably competitive. Have been able to work with some nice people.

    Cons

    Little opportunity for advancement, while it's good to learn on the job some organized training would be helpful. Company feels very old fashioned in many ways. Also it's very difficult to progress beyond the role you start in which means that while you gain experience there's very little sense of progress.

    Advice to Management

    Provide more opportunity for internal growth. Invest more time into training the employees you have.

    They focus on exterior perimeters as far as landscaping

    Cons

    The management team is fake, because they will smile in the employees face but behind closed doors they degrade the person

    Lots of potential for personal and professional development. Good benefits package. 100% vested day one. Great people to work with

    Continuous employment is not guaranteed. If building sells you might potentially loss your job.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing. You give great support to the various property teams and allow us to stay flexible.

    Pros

    Benefits and time off policy are pretty good. Hines has high standards but they also hire the right people so it is easy to do your job since everyone else is doing what they are supposed to do.

    Cons

    Room to grow. There are training programs for managers but there is almost nothing for front office staff. So if you're looking to grow from an office assistant it's very hard.

    Advice to Management

    I'd prefer clear guidelines for career advancement

    Pros

    Wonderful people working on incredible projects.

    Cons

    No career growth for Administrative Assistants, laughable raises, too much support for non company things like Director's vacations, kids and personal shopping and bills. Outrageous pay difference between Director and Assistant. No exit interview.

    Advice to Management

    Involve Administrative Assistants more. Give them a chance to grow with the company.

    Pros

    The benefits/vacation is great...more than most. Life/work balance is always considered, and company morale is excellent. Employees feel proud to work there.

    Cons

    Politics, old managers won't change ways and need some mandatory schooling on managing their employees. They should encourage their employees and let them work in areas of interest rather than areas of non interest.

    Advice to Management

    Provide mandatory schooling to senior level management on managing employees.
