    Pros

They are employee owned so there's more interest in the people. Location matters. Easy laid back environment, but you have to do the job

    Cons

No major cons, only since it's medium size, you know what to expect for salary. Don't expect to be paid like you're at a large corporation

I worked at Hisco full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

normal hours with decent pay . good benefits and excellent profit sharing.

    Cons

does not promote from within as I was there for thirteen years and i felt stuck and under valued. management tends to place personalities before principles which damages both culture and morale. Hisco is a sales organization and they support outside sales and the upper management teams forgetting that the companies success is a group effort.

    Advice to Management

restore honesty , integrity and team spirit as it once was. the president started in the warehouse so try to promote from the lower ranks and encourage growth .

I have been working at Hisco full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

One of the largest international industrial distributors in North America. Competitive salaries and incredible employee stock ownership plan. Great leadership and corporate environment. Great opportunities for professional growth.

    Cons

Time will tell. Needs to remain competitive and aggressive in niche market. Do not be afraid to think big. It is possible to be the next Amazon.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. Continue to embrace growth.
