I have been working at Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Because of high turnover rate people who can handle 50-70 hours can get those overtime hours. This can add up quickly for your bi-weekly check.

    Cons

Not much free time. Especially if you on production line. Granted you do get paid double pay if you work Sundays, but many times it is expected that you do work every possible Sunday that you are legally can work.

I have been working at Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Growing company, financially stable, dedicated workforce.

    Cons

Company is trying to grow too fast. Instead of focusing on improving current business, the organization is chasing market share and trying to enter into business that they have little knowledge about. Don't have the technical infrastructure or operating systems in place to accommodate the current business let alone new.

    Advice to Management

Executive Management need to focus on their own areas of responsibility and stop micro-managing. Need to rebuild trust with employees and stop lying to customers before you loose their trust as well. Stop treating employees like they are disposable. Need to improve the work life balance for your employees. The attitude that you should be glad to have a job, sends a bad message to the organization particularly when most of the problems are the result of bad management!

I worked at Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

$50,000+ per year for entry level position. My co-workers were usually very good people. Everyone had the "we're in it together" mentality, and would help each other.

    Cons

Employees are expected to work 84 hours per week (12 hrs a day, 7 days a week). Working conditions are very bad, to the point of bending workplace laws. There was an ongoing promise that we would get Sunday off, but that promise was broken weekly.

    Advice to Management

Hitachi upper management should fire anyone in a management position in the plant and hire fresh management. Don't allow a small town boys' club run the place.

I have been working at Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If your all about working and no family time hardly except for when your home "wore out" then this is the place. The work is medium range labor so its not all bad except being EXTREMELY repetitive. Yah you make around 80k a year but thats at the cost of most of your life because you only make 14 an hour after a few years. Do the math.

    Cons

No days off with 90% of the lines. 11-13 hour shifts.

    Advice to Management

give us a day off!!! They earned it douch bag chinese.

    Pros

    Insurance. Air conditioning. Little overtime.

    Cons

No opportunities for advancement. Ppm= p**s poor management. Back stabbing management. Open door policy really means shut door policy. Low morale. Low or no bonuses. Very small pay in raises usually less than 1.5% which is well below the inflation rate.

    Advice to Management

Why should I offer you anything? You haven't given me much more than a steady pay heck without any raises for 7 years.
