    Great people

    Senior Consultant (Current Employee)
    Denver, CO

ProsI greatly enjoy the leadership and activities in my local office. There is a clear progression path for junior level employees and wonderful learning opportunities.

ConsDo not get a lot of control over where you get staffed - particularly at the lower levels

Advice to Senior ManagementLeadership could more clearly convey how hard its working for its employees in its communications. Sometimes its dedication to internal efforts isn't highlighted as much as it should be and gets lost in the shuffle of other corporate initiatives.

    The Pursuit of Quality

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Denver, CO

ProsChallenging work, projects, and clients. If you have the right skillset or want to build a skillset, this is a great place to do it. Those who have the confidence and ability to ask for what they want will get it (as is the way life goes, right?)

ConsThere is a perceived inconsistency between management styles, but this is typical of any organization and internal efforts are being made to provide more consistency.

Advice to Senior ManagementQuality will always win over politics. If senior management can focus on hiring the best and keeping them (us) happy, then the company will grow, business will increase, and revenues will follow.

Great place to grow your skills

    Senior Manager (Current Employee)
    Denver, CO

ProsThe people and smart and collaborative. I have a lot of flexibility whether to travel or not (likely due to my specialized area). I am compensated fairly.

ConsHCC is going through some growing pains due to multiple global acquisitions while also trying to grow the service lines outside of more classical ERP-type services.

Good Place to work overall, comp need improvement

    Senior Consultant (Current Employee)
    Denver, CO

    ProsGreat people.
Good culture in former Andersen cities.
Up and coming practice. Strong leadership.

ConsValue proposition has changed. Used to be a place that provided a culture of local work over travel. Now they have changed to a national model and no longer have p/l at the local market. Salaries for people who travel now have not been moved commensurate with value proposition change.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet back to leveraged model and make sure you have consistency in how people are working on engagements. SM's should not be doing SC work.

    Positive Place to Work

    Senior Consultant (Current Employee)
    Denver, CO

ProsOpportunities to try different types of projects
    Many opportunities for training/learning
    Great people to work with

ConsAt times (depending on project assignment), work/life balance can be difficult
Across all of our locations, levels are not equal (meaning a Senior Consultant in one location doesn't have the same core skills as a Senior Consultant in another location)

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep lines of communication open

ProsThe people provide a great working atmosphere.

ConsA smaller firm trying to compete with the larger firms, competitive pay is hard to come by.

Great people, just needs to invest in them

    Manager (Former Employee)
    Denver, CO

    ProsThe people are great
    The work can be interesting

ConsThe firm just doesn't invest in its people enough - training, etc.
I never felt that senior leadership had a clear vision as to where they wanted to go and how to get there

Advice to Senior ManagementTake a step back, decide what you want the firm to be, and make a plan to get there

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

    Coasting

    Manager (Current Employee)
    Denver, CO

ProsThe people I work with are great. The benefits are good and overall they won't make you work too hard. If you are married or have a family they are extremely accomodating.

ConsYou will now have to travel close to 100% of the time. There is not a lot of opportunity for advancement. if you are one of the lucky few to get a promotion you will be disappointed by the meager salary increases.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe reorganization is not benefitting anyone but senior management. I've been with the company for a few years and frankly it's hard to drink the kool-aid anymore. I don't see a future for myself here long term.
