    Pros

If you are looking to start an IT career this is a great place to start. Big projects done with great people.

    Cons

Lack of management consulting opportunities. Employee reviews are poorly handled. Only true way to climb the ladder is time in seat. Don't expect to jump ranks quickly if you do a good job.

    Advice to Management

Completely redevelop the career advancement tracks.

    Pros

    - Great culture, small enough to know a lot of people at the company and have a strong network while maintaining that family feel - Flexibility to move to different locations - Great industry exposure - Excellent work-life balance - Mentorship program at all levels, but entry level consultants get the most support/guidance

    Cons

    - Salary is not as high as other consultancies, but we also aren't working 60+ hours every week - Diversity of projects is not as big as other consultancies due to our size, although still good projects

    Pros

-People you work with genuinely care about your success -Fun environment and filled with high energy individuals -Opportunities for challenging work, and real investment in your growth as an individual and a consultant

    Cons

-Opportunities for project work could be more diverse -Your experience really depends on who staffs you and on what project. Hitachi can be an entirely different project for one person than another in the same city -Many good people leave before they can mentor the next wave of talent

    Advice to Management

Don't wait for your good people to leave, be proactive about rewarding hard work and excellence.

    Pros

Hitachi works hard at presenting a very professional face.

    Cons

When on a job, the team i worked with did far too much drinking and was quite clickish. Sustaining billing through agreeing with questionable decisions will always come back to bite you.

    Advice to Management

To be professional, act professional at all times!

    Neutral Outlook

    Pros

People are all very kind and casual, everyone I've worked with has a can-do attitude, the work-life balance is paramount and they allow you the time to tend to your own life when needed, the on-the-job learning is unmatched

    Cons

HCC has trouble retaining entry-level consultants through the manager level, many leave because of pay increases elsewhere, not much pre-scripted training and much of your career is self led.

    Advice to Management

Give pay increases and added responsibility to SC level employees, ask more delivery of your VP levels, not all sales. Maybe reduce the number of VPs on staff.
