    Pros

Hands down, this was the best place I worked. The team was energized, management was motivational and fair, and there was definitely an entrepreneur feeling to coming to work.

    Cons

When the company was bought by Experian, the culture shifted to become more corporate and all of the core people left. Not sure how it is there now.

    Advice to Management

Value your employees and stay nimble

    Pros

stimulating product but its no longer competitive enough.

    Cons

no upward mobility or promotions with comp.

    Advice to Management

get aggressive with your product, marketing.

    I worked at Hitwise

    Pros

It's a growing company, and the people are pretty smart. You get an amazing view of what's going on on the internet, which will allow you to spout out all kinds of interesting data tidbits at cocktail parties.

    Cons

The pay was terrible and there was no way I could get what I was worth.

    Advice to Management

I sort of felt like everyone who wasn't a VP was like chattel. A lot of people had great ideas on how to improve the product, but it seemed like product development was in its own ivory tower.

    Pros

    * free beer
    * good compensation and benefits (but yearly increase % is minuscule)
    * Incredible technology stack to play with

    Cons

    * overworked, 60 hours a week is norm for the unlucky few
    * clueless management but masters of politics, for instance, you have new managers joining from nowhere and give poor directions to teams of technical experts; and new head of product management that never try out the product herself, they have no clue about product's vision
    * limited opportunity for promotion and recognition unless you suck up to the manager and he gives you a nice review rating. It doesn't matter how talented you are and what you contributed to the team. As long as you are a smooth talker, and can kiss a few manager and director's rear end, you're in good shape.
    * despite efforts to improve execution, decision making and leadership accountability is still non-existent. Senior management does not take accountability and blame the staff for not executing fast enough

    Advice to Management

    * employees deserve honesty and predictability
    * find a business (and data) strategy and validate early before too much execution, our "Agile" product development is entering second year without public launching
    * Allow individual contributors to anonymously rate their managers, either a pass or fail grade. If the manager fails, he/she gets demoted.

    Pros

Great first company- Good exposure to enterprise companies

    Cons

    Minimal Investment in the Product
    Below average Salary and Commission

    Advice to Management

Stop selling this product- it goes against everything Experian stands for (Data Quality)

    Pros

work life balance but was underpaid, work from home.
nice office in cyberjaya.good biweekly meals.

    Cons

pretentious middle management , badly managed and under appreciated employee. relying on fresh turnout as mention on the below. product isnt great and cant sell when google analytic is free with google owns the web. customer doesnt renew.

    Advice to Management

most recent UI changes are meaningless if you cant present you data in a meaningful way. clearly show on the non renewal and lack of usage. product and project manager just just chicken whom talks over the phone.. no value for the dev and qa
all the pro doesnt mean jack when all you do is exploitation of new blood. oh yeah. work from home is abused regularly as well.

    Pros

Great technical problems to solve using cutting edge technology. The people at the base level are very worth knowing.

    Cons

Terrible pay. Totally clueless management and a completely impenetrable wall between management and employees. The turnover is incredibly high and everyone seemed to be miserable and resigned to their fate.

    Advice to Management

Try taking care of the people you have instead of giving up, waiting for them to leave and hiring new people instead.

    Pros

Full of talented people. Aggressive sales.

    Cons

Low bonus rate, and most work without any direction. Often decisions are made by HQ without clear cut communication to country level offices.

    Advice to Management

Focus on product quality instead of sales!
