    It is a job

RN (Current Employee) Camp Hill, PA

Pros50% off remaining balance of bill if you used HSH. Must use HSH for your medical needs or you pay higher deductible. If you are admitted to another hospital you will pay $500 deductible. It is waved if you are admitted to HSH. Everyone is a team player. Benefits are cheaper than other area hospitals but still expensive. For a family it will cost you about $165.00 per pay for health coverage. Eye and dental is cheap.

ConsIf you have a chronic or serious illness they will find a way to get rid of you. Your illness makes their rates go higher, cheaper to get rid of you. With you for life is a lie! I have seen it happen six times in past year. Also if you have over 25 years with the hospital be careful you will not make it to 30. You will be gone. Cheaper to hire a young person out of college than to keep the long term employees.

Advice to Senior ManagementCommunication. Good luck making magnet status.

Nurse (Former Employee) Camp Hill, PA

ProsThe team work is generally great among those who are involved directly with pt care, CNAs, RNs, lab, dietary, PT, RT, etc. On the floors, nurses and CNAs assist and help each other trying to manage overwhelmingly huge and unsafe assignments and provide good care. Pt care staff takes very good care of the patients, therefore we get excellent feed back from patients, yet senior management still complains that we don't do enough and our scores aren't good apparently. Decent benefits and good opportunities for education are provided at Holy, but all health care facilities have that. If you really need employment, go work for them, the staff will do their best to ease you in, help you, and include you in the team, but don't expect any support from senior management, because you will not get it. Best wishes and good luck to all the wonderful nurses, CNAs, phlebotomists, RTs, PTOTs, physicians, OR staff, etc, etc...!!!

ConsToo many to list. There is no loyalty from management towards their staff. The above reviewer is correct, employees that get older, have some chronic illnesses or other flaws that is not their fault, get discarded like trash, there is no compassion or dignity for the people who make this hospital a good one, the ones involved directly with patients. You would believe this is a hospital where everyone gets treated with respect, not so. I have seen excellent employees terminated for "nothing", tears in their eyes for having been treated that way. Senior management is ice cold at best. Hard to believe they are nurses. They also don't like people who think critically, because they worry that they could possibly find out about their heartless methods. They are full of promises about better staffing , etc, but those are all empty promises, I have worked there many years and nothing has changed in regard to staffing, nothing. With you for life? That's a big joke. Magnet status? They do not deserve it one bit!

Advice to Senior ManagementRead above review!!! Useless to give advice, you aren't listening anyways.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
