Pros
Great Benefits even for part time, Social Committee so lots of fun events, Employer of Choice, working with customers is fun, family atmosphere.
Cons
It's retail so evenings and weekends are required.
Most of the jobs are part time
Wages are comparable to other retail positions but still not great
Pros
It's a job where there is room to move around in departments. Every day is a new day. Management for the most part is respectful. Some I think are slow.
Cons
They want you to sell credit cards. I refuse because other workers will swoop in and take the kill so to speak. It's all about the numbers and not customer satisfaction and getting that return customer. They promise you benifits even if your working part time 20 hOurs a week. I haven't seen them and ive been there 8 months. You have to worry about job security in the winter because they don't lay people off they fire them instead. So if your not kissing someone's ass and you stick up for yourself. Your gone.
Advice to Senior Management
For the few who are doing a great job. Thanks for the support and a job well done. But the other ones who walk around with a clip board and won't bend down or lift a finger for a customer. Think about how frustrating it is as a customer knowing you've been there forever and could answer the question in 2 seconds or help them grab something but you decide to "get someone". The manager of the store would outwork anyone and she's great to the employees who work and give a hard time to those who don't. Great job
Pros
meeting people. fr some of ur senior staff it's the only reason we work. not for the money
Cons
limited competance in management. leadership and encouragement is non-existant. management don't provide the tools to sell. this is thetotal of what Ihad to say to complete the 20 words.
Advice to Senior Management
this is a big question. for one the should become more aware of issues in the store...this s only a reflection of one store and should not be interpreted as for the whole company
Pros
You can develop skills of multi-tasking, reporting to different managers with different priorities, business management, dealing with difficult customer situations, and setting your own priorities. Many transferrable skills are developed including dealing with difficult situations, improving the customer shopping experience, S.A.P. computer experience, and safety in the workplace.
Cons
Management concentrates on credit to improve the customer shopping experience, while there are so many more areas that can be improved, including better inventory control and improved floor coverage.
Pros
The benefits and the workers are great but the management is suspect.
Cons
Unfair dismissal, write ups and the inability of higher management to see through the layers of ineffectiveness by lower management.
Pros
Very good place to work, get what you want out of it
Cons
started off fairly slow in the beginning so that was a little boring
Pros
Great management team
Great leadership
Team building activities
Work/Life Balance
Career advancement
Cons
No store discount at retail locations
Advice to Senior Management
Continue brining in new talent and traininig opportunities
Pros
just say yes; get the orange apron culture; be available 7am-10:30pm 7 days/week; u-can advance w/out a huge pay increase.
Cons
understaffed; huge stress for little pay; poor benefits; inefficient training; monthly reviews deflate even great employees; they own your schedule
Advice to Senior Management

Advice to Senior Management

Pros
Very good support system for assoicates, the work place has many opportunities for one to advance if you should decide to. Great place to work overall.
