    I have been working at Homeward Residential Corporation India Private Limited full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Before Ocwen taking over Homeward Residential–
    It was very good organization which was living up to its values. Management was truly taking care of each employee and always used to find ways to recognize them for their achievements. It was spending a lot of money, time and other resources to groom and educate its employee especially potential/existing team leaders and/or managers. It has open door policy and hence one can take his / her grievance directly to MD by skipping the middle level management and though it was not encouraged (skipping hierarchy), management was helping employees to resolve the issue. Management was believing that its employees are vital for company’s growth and hence they were treated as assets of the company.
    After Ocwen taking over Homeward Residential–
    It is now worst organization to work with. It works like it has no values. Middle level management is only following the orders of the higher management without informing them about the issues. It seems that even senior management is not keen on getting inputs from managers and only expecting them to follow the orders. Obviously associates and team leaders are facing a lot of problems as they are overburdened with the work and hence they have to stretch back every day to achieve their targets. Most of the time they have stretch back more than 12 hours and also work on Saturdays and Sundays. Company is not paying for the overtime unless it is approved by higher management. No need to say that most of the time it is not approved as managers are not having guts to get it approved from higher management. Employees have no options but to continue to work like this. EMPLOYEES ARE TREATED AS MACHINES AND MANAGEMENT IS TRYING TO EXPLOIT THEM. There is no room for any employee to improve his skills and abilities as he / she has to spend his / her time only to complete the assigned tasks. One can not raise any issue as that employee is considered as problem creating creature. It’s okay to be unemployed rather than working with this organization.

    Pros

    The organization was built in a very strong foundation.
    Very sound work culture.
    Except for the senior management, everyone else are focused on achieving results.

    Cons

    The top management lacks basic understanding of what they inherited, poor vision, goal and focus to understand the growth potential.
    They are only worried about their own existence in the organization and is incapable to stand for the rest of the organization for achieving results.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Would be better if all of you act according to your conscience rather than saving your jobs at the cost of the rest of the 1500 people in the organization.
    At least try to understand what you inherited from the previous management and explore the avenues of growth rather than sitting and waiting for better things to happen. We have a lot of capabilities that are getting lost due to your lethargic and half hearted approach.

    Pros

    Some of the major advantages of Homeward are good management , free cab services , events organized for employees , work life balance , compensation etc

    Cons

    Some of the cons are timings if put in night shift ,lack of work from home option ,culinary options in the cafeteria , rigid policies with respect to security, no mobile phones allowed for most employees etc

    Could have some interactive forums for cross training across teams
