Pros
The benefits and pay are good.
Cons
Not a good place if you don't know how to deal with stress. Job security questionable.
Advice to Senior Management
One size does not fit all.
Pros
Flexible work schedule, opportunities for upward mobility.
Cons
Very bureaucratic, often employees mean nothing to the company on an individual level.
Advice to Senior Management
Take a stronger stance against HR to provide reasonable compensation levels.
Pros
Job security, growing market share in aerospace products, good management, decent work hours and time off, and good opportunity for career growth.
Cons
Its a 24/7 operation and you have to work some weekends and holidays, long hours during the week, and unrealistic turn time and delivery goals.
Advice to Senior Management
Provide clear, concise direction on what you want done and set a completion date, make all supervisors perform at the same level and be involved in what the hourly employees are doing. Get up from your desk and walk the floor.
Pros
Loyal folks working in the company's lower levels, they take a lot of pride in their work
Cons
With the latest re-organization so many layers have been created at the VP, Director level within the corporate organization it has turned into a white elephant. Difficult to get things done and due to the "good old boy network" a rash of incompetent players have added a new dimension of non-value add.
Advice to Senior Management
Understand where the value is being created before good resources leave the company for better managed businesses. Don't do the typical Honeywell mantra: react when it's too late. Get a clue from customers asking to forgo Hon product on their platforms
Pros
Lot of opportunity to learn from peers. Will work with people from very diverse educational, economic and culture differences. If you a person who wants to do their job and leave at the end of the day this is highly encourage.
Cons
They do not put the resources into the sites for career advancement - only career skills opportunity. They outsource lots of career positions. Because of the diversity some of the less 'culture' individuals may say or do things that are 'rare'
Advice to Senior Management
Continue to educate and promote people in corporate and sites location. Provide more resources - computers, people and tech. Great company but let make it better.
Pros
Good company to work for. They offered me job but I didn't take as I was expecting more and demanding higher responsibilities.
Cons
The group leader was condescending and didn't enjoy working with him at all.
Advice to Senior Management
They are not so involved at Project level.
Pros
Employee friendly and immense oppurtunities to grow, good learning experience, career path is good
Cons
Domain specific ,less companies work for aero domain in india
Advice to Senior Management
Work and personal life balance goes out of track sometimes
Pros
Good place, good people, good job. Good challeganges and very good management
Cons
Still need to have a global mindset
Pros
There is enormous opportuntity to be successful and advance through the ranks. Many of their leaders have been promoted from within and have a deep understanding of the aerospace industry.
Cons
Aerospace is a highly regulated and specialized industry. Thus, the IT and business environment varies tremendously from other industries. Slower moving and highly political.
Pros
Flexible work schedules/locations is the primary benefit to working here. I am able to maintain a good work/life balance, I can just do my job and enjoy the rest of my life when I'm done with my employment obligations.
Cons
No financial recognition is provided for doing a good job. Too many inefficient employees that the company refuses to get rid of. Constant cost cutting of benefits and no corporate culture.
Advice to Senior Management
Why can't Honeywell utilize it's size and negotiating leverage to provide the employees good benefits? Please continue reinforcing a flexible work place as it is the primary reason you are able to hang onto your best employees. There is no corporate culture at Honeywell any longer, so embrace it and provide benefits of employment that truly matter.
