Pros
decent medical, dental vision, until they take it away whenever they get the chance.....
Cons
7 day work schedule ,no holidays might as well live there,so bring a cot and pillow they don't care about family they care about the parts out the door..the company hates the union and the employees don't even get anywhere near top pay, they'll bust that union so they can get 12 dollar an hour machinist...which will get them nowhere...but i did like the people i worked with and will miss them....the employees are the backbone of that company..
Advice to Senior Management
look at what you've got...not what you can take from them corporate greed will result in losing valuable people..such a shame that company could be so much more...but i guess paying the ceo 25 million will make there products better and their process better(not) take some pride in your people and show them that, you will get alot more results..
Pros
benefits, pay, good people to work with
Cons
cold and ruthless leadership
no sense of customer relations
Advice to Senior Management

Cons
Sallaries could be higher. Promote quicker and keep Junior Engineers well compensated
Advice to Senior Management
Keep competitive especially for younger employees
Pros
The people are great. The job is very secure.
Cons
Honeywell lacks competitive compensation for many employees.
Advice to Senior Management
Recognize and pay your people competitively and Fairly.
Pros
The opportunity to learn and grow.
Cons
There is extreme pressure to do more with less and although a good ideal, it has gone too far.
Pros
Money overtime is great no approval needed, flexible work hours, can advance within your first year of working there and they pay for school
Cons
Management doesnt communicate well, and get caught up in their own professional goals. Task often happen without knowledge of what is going on, they rely to much on emails
Advice to Senior Management
Communicate with employees, dont make new procedures without talking to employees first. Offer more learning experiences, promote growth within the company
Pros
Some can get in a niche and it will be a reasonably secure job.
Cons
Not cutting edge. Using techniques and methods that were proven ineffective 25 years ago by the rest of the world. Those trying to change things for the better are not rewarded, only fought at every step of the way, including by upper management.
Often not given the tools needed to do the job. For example, so many websites are blocked now, that I've been unable to access websites I tried to use to find good info to do my technical job. Also been blocked from doctor's websites. Far too much "scare tactics" that you are being monitored.
Too much hero worship. Instead of setting up a positive environment to do things right in the first place, the standard procedure seems to reward the "heros" who come in and save the day so that it is ALWAYS a firefighting mode type of lifestyle.
Advice to Senior Management
Look to the long term. Realize that products are 90% software and 10% hardware now (that switch happened 20 years ago)....much more software support is needed. Allow more pilots to try newer methods and processes to realize they can be much more effective. For example, waterfall software development process has been LONG proven ineffective. There are much better processes out there (like Agile).
Pros
Great and committed co[workers and products.
Cons
Very poor mangement. Upper management not in touch with individual businesses within aerospace. Current organization stucture inadequate to run the businesse effectively.
Advice to Senior Management
Re-instate the site VP-general manager position
Pros
Interesting and challenging project. Travel and see the world.
Cons
Perception that some areas/divisions are treated better than others
Advice to Senior Management
Recognize and appreciate the work being perfromed down to the team level...this has been lacking in the past several years.
Pros
Seen improvements in the right direction.
Cons
Needs to empower its people more
Advice to Senior Management
Retaining talent who serve our customers well.
