Advice to Senior Management
NA
Pros
Lots of fringe benefits like discount tickets. I guess it is a great place to work if you are an engineer.
Cons
They would rather take the easy route of cuttting costs and shipping jobs overseas than do the hard work of growing the company.
Pros
Good work experience
Great group of co-workers
Lower/mid level management site leadership does care
Industry premiere product lines - top tier performance
Cons
Benefits have deteriorated over the last 5+ years
Long term job security it questionable
HIgh employee turnover rate - difficult to keep good workers
Control of site is directed by off site management
Advice to Senior Management
Leadership being Morristown? How about focusing on making your North American sites the best they can be rather than looking at what can be gutted and sent to Asia. The direct labor work force in the US has been demoralized to the point of zero management credibility. Between wage freezes and the 10% reduction in 2009, most everyone is about 25% behind in purchasing power compared to where they were 5 years ago. Can you say 'wage slaves' anyone?
Pros
Good company when you want to improve your-self. Also the trainig program is very well. The project I worked on were very good in main field.
Cons
You have to work very offten under time presure because of time schedule. Some times you have to stay in work during weekend too.
Advice to Senior Management
Try to speak more often with your "workers" to know about their profesionals problems - like need to boy new computers, new measurement instruments etc.
Pros
Customer focus and orientation is very high; activities carried out are with end goal in mind. Fluff around the important things is kept to minimum.
Cons
Do not have much to add to cons. Only Con I can say is that certain aspects clarity in communication coud help the employees.
Advice to Senior Management
Not too much to add here too. But area in which if things can be better is if the policies for certain things are kept more transparent.
Pros
The transition process from the U.S to Iraq was streamline. This was the best part of the job in my humble opinion.
Cons
The list here is too long to endure. My main complaint was how they expected me to work on the same level with someone who was hired from a fast food resturant and limited skills and no higher level education. While jobs clearly fitted to my skills and education level were denied for no clear reason.
Advice to Senior Management
Stop giving your friends all the jobs that don't require manual labor. The good old buddy network is thick with this company.
Pros
Diversified Engineering Company, Challenging Environment helps drive result.
Cons
Can seem old fashioned and stodgy.
Advice to Senior Management
Great talent resides in this company, harness it.
