    I worked at Honeywell

    Pros

I worked as an intern for Honeywell Aerospace and absolutely loved it! The people are great and very interested in seeing you succeed. Interns have a great chance for future employment, they love bringing them back either for another internship or full time! The company was great about holidays and celebrating employee involvement.

    Cons

Honeywell Aerospace is a large company so it can occasionally feel like you know no one outside of the small group you work with.

I have been working at Honeywell full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Honeywell Aerospace is a fascinating place to work with elaborate systems to facilitate its' global position. Its' products are highly valued and brought to the marketplace with a keen understanding of the political and economic climates in which they operate. Their strategies for global growth seem well balanced between conservative application of capital and leading edge innovation.

    Cons

A highly compartmentalized culture which struggles to maintain the momentum and responsibilities necessary to achive the growth results expected from local sites (South Bend). Local sites are often starved of resources and capital as the profits are allocated to the global expansion of Honeywell International. Too much 'change for change's sake' without measureable results other than unrealized productivity and waste.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Simplify, simplify, simplify.

I have been working at Honeywell

    Pros

If you are a self-motivated ladder climber, you will find yourself moving up if you have the right talent. Leadership has changed a few times in ten years and I think it is at its best so far.

    Cons

Health Insurance Benefits are not nearly good enough for a company this size. If you move from one position to another, compensation is not on par with the national average.

I have been working at Honeywell

    Pros

    Friendly coworkers and management
Many managers want their employees to succeed in their careers
Diverse company with connections to many channels
    Strong sales organization
    Deep knowledge sharing process

    Cons

Self insured health program (high premium)
    Bureaucratic
    Merit raises would be nice

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to look after your employees and their careers. When you help clear tape for them to progress, they work harder in the interim and will reflect positively on you as they move up.

Creative compensation would help produce more results and increase productivity.

I have been working at Honeywell

    Pros

Opportunity to work with people all over the world. Remote working is ok and even encouraged

    Cons

Focus on quarterly profits at the expense of customer relationships and long term growth. Medical benefits are poor. Not a lot of respect for domain expertise gathered over many years by management which constantly changes

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Too many chiefs and not enough Indians to do the work.
