I worked at Honeywell full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Pros of the job include: People, Travel, Engaging work and developing industry with IT Security

    Cons

The cons of the job are: Low amount of PTO, Limited career progression,Small office with limited interaction with Honeywell Corporate.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Development of the cyber-security services should be a different business line away from aerospace. Without moving it into a different business line the priorities don't always align to support the services.

    I worked at Honeywell

    Pros

Very concerned with employee personal safety. No micromanagement, you are on your own.

    Cons

No training on tasks performed, just on corporate boilerplate. No coordination between coworkers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let local management guide you to issues at hand locally.

I have been working at Honeywell full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Typical large corporation environment. Some groups have the ability to work from home which is a nice benifit when you have children to care for.

    Cons

Lay offs. The company is driven to reduce cost and that means being in constant fear of being laid off. Big push to eliminate US positions and send them over seas. Insurance is high deductible plan where nothing is covered until you reach $4000.00 out of pocket.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit sending all the jobs over seas. Show the same type of loyalty to your employees as you expect to recieve from them.

I worked at Honeywell full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    Flexible work hours
lot of scope to learn new things /process

    Cons

Upto the director level management level is corrupted and knowing it they want to live with it.
No action taken on any of your complaints on the ground of hostile environment at work, retaliation etc.
Overall will not suggest any one to join until they are really need of a job and think can survive in a disorganized organization.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

try to take the best practices as you hire many senior level employees from other fortune-500 companies that will help the organization to grow

I have been working at Honeywell full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Get to work with really great and smart coworkers. We get to work on and make some amazing products.

    Cons

Aging workforce. Hard to find peers my age. Benefits get worse each year. More jobs are offshored each year. While our stock doubled our wages were held stagnant and promotions did not occur in my department. All the best people that I worked with have left the company for better opportunities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need promotions, raises and career growth opportunities

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
