    Pros

Can not think of one. If your the type of person who thrives at landing jobs that are way over your head and just want to ride the wave of chaos, this place is for you! You will have many like minded people to hang out with here.

    Cons

The entire facility is dazed and confused. This plant is run by Corporate, with yes men at the helm in south bend. GM"S come and go here faster than the changing seasons. This plant is punishment for something we have done wrong in a past life. Completely understaffed, and the people that do stay here are so over worked that any project they are working on is never brought to completion, or if it is completed, it is never followed up on.

    Advice to Management

    They wouldn't listen anyway.

    Pros

Large company means projects get approved, job security, and room to move around. The work was always interesting.

    Cons

They suffer from the big wall-street facing problems of quarterly scrambles to make their numbers financially. Even when employee raises were cut, the CEO is still getting his 20+ million dollar bonuses. I understand it's the new common thing, but still annoying.

    Advice to Management

Nothing I say here will matter. It is what it is. I dislike the CEO's style, but the company stock did go up, and we were stable.

    Pros

Honeywell Aerospace is a fascinating place to work with elaborate systems to facilitate its' global position. Its' products are highly valued and brought to the marketplace with a keen understanding of the political and economic climates in which they operate. Their strategies for global growth seem well balanced between conservative application of capital and leading edge innovation.

    Cons

A highly compartmentalized culture which struggles to maintain the momentum and responsibilities necessary to achive the growth results expected from local sites (South Bend). Local sites are often starved of resources and capital as the profits are allocated to the global expansion of Honeywell International. Too much 'change for change's sake' without measureable results other than unrealized productivity and waste.

    Advice to Management

    Simplify, simplify, simplify.

    Pros

    Stable company. Flexible work schedule.

    Cons

Frustrating, non-value added work. Honeywell seems to create its own problems. Communications are not very good. Vendors do not seem to be very developed or supportive.

    Advice to Management

Move away from "check the box" management style to actually trying to define problems and fix them.

    Pros

Overtime makes up for poor wage Still working through the recession .

    Cons

Management has no commitment to there programs, ie. HOS. Upper management disconnected to what actually happens on shop floor. Extreme amount of management and supervisor turn over.

    Advice to Management

Hire supervisors from within, or at least people that have worked in a factory previously.

    Pros

Lot's of highly qualified, intelligent co-workers. Some of the best leaders I've ever worked for. Great internal training opportunities allowing you to develop your skills. Freedom to apply for new roles internal to the organization almost anywhere in the world.

    Cons

Large enough and beurocratic enough that some very poor managers can hide in the system if they play the politics correctly. Individuals can be put in positions with no chance for success and then held accountable when the rest of the organization doesn't go along.

    Advice to Management

Improve accountability at shop floor level before flushing out so many salaried employees working hard to make improvements. Not the case at all sites but absolutely the case at some of them.
