    Pros

Great work environment, positive attitudes and management is willing to listen to your complaints.

    Cons

Communication seems to be an issue; although management does listen to the complaints of people, sometimes is bends over too much to try to please one person instead of trying to please the collective group.

    Advice to Management

Keeping believing and trusting your employees. Also, keep challenging us and giving us assignments that are outside of our comfort zones.

    Pros

Stable, growing firm depending on practice group and geographic location. Great place to start your career and gain experience while you prepare for the CPA exam. The firm is in love with Millennials so take advantage. Pay is comparable to other firms. Good to know someone in senior or executive management when joining the firm.

    Cons

Beyond the first two to three years of your career, you will find the typical politics and "good ole boy" attitude in spite of the message from executive management. Generally does not invest in substantial training. Stay away from the insurance. The culture that the executive suite envisions does not make it into the day to day atmosphere in most practice groups.

    Advice to Management

Read your own guidebook. Value the people who get the work done. Examine how much authority is vested in individuals to make decisions regarding the career growth and direction of others.

    Pros

Learned about Public Assistance Grants and Disaster Recovery

    Cons

Promotions were based on the good ole boy system. Firm does not promote diversity. Does not promote many minorities unless working in Government Services and only promote minorities because required to receive government contracts.

    Advice to Management

    Diversify your workforce

    Pros

Good management, good pay and benefits. Just a quality outfit. Pretty standard office environment and hours. Opportunity to travel with the company.

    Cons

Well, they work a lot as subcontractors. So if a new contract or renewal of a contract doesn't come through, you could be out of a job.

    Advice to Management

Be a little more upfront about career stability with new hires.
