    Pros

The internal audit department is very team oriented, and has great management to set the tone at the top. Hospitals are going to be where people are, so the travel spots are usually pretty good. Great work-life balance and culture of the company.

I worked at Hospital Corporation of America full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Lots of good people work within this company. They will first promote from within so good growth opportunity. Focus is shifting to better patient outcomes and experiences and patient safety.

Good benefits package but like all of America, health care coverage is shrinking.

    Cons

Some higher ups like to rule by intimidation. Focus on short term goals over long term mission. When budget is not met, first thing to be done is to eliminate positions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep your eye on the mission statement and less on the ledger.

    Pros

The only pro was being able to work in Riverside Ca. HCA is one of the worst companies to code for

    Cons

Unreasonable rules and regulations for non-HCA employees. The HIM clerical supervisor was extreme.
