I worked at Hospital Corporation of America part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The co-workers were good. Most of the time, was a good atmosphere. Clean environment. Staff seemed like they cared most of the time.

    Cons

It's a for-profit hospital. More focused on making money than treating patients. Values the almighty $

    Advice to Management

Act like you actually care about your employees. Make an effort to get to know who's working for you.

I worked at Hospital Corporation of America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

401 savings match and stock options available - health coverage expensive, and time off to take advantage of benefits (PTO) very restrictive due to short staffing and animosity !

    Cons

Pay and leadership needs improvement . Seems lower management does not value employee input and pay is not based on skills!! Felt very disappointed after many years of waiting for improvement and salary! Discovered my immediate management was sneaky, deceptive and undermining ! Safety issues were ignored and speaking out to H.R. resulted in reprimand and backlash!

    Advice to Management

Increase salary and staffing - be more in tune with employees needs and compliment hard work ! Offer more avenues for personal growth and not concentrate so much on statistics!
