Stock options, stock options, stock options.
Flexible work/life balance

Cons – As with any stage start up that is still VC funded there is some questions regarding long term job opportunity.

Advice to Senior Management – Try very hard to maintain the culture as you grow.

Pros – Cool people, no work pressure, constant motivation

Pros – A great market opportunity at the intersection of two hot spaces - Corporate Performance Management and Cloud computing. Host Analytics is the only full CPM suite in the Cloud. A fun place to work, with a great culture, great performance and a fantastic new CEO who is preparing us for our next stage of growth and maturity.

Cons – Fast-paced, with a high sense of urgency - may not be for everyone.

Pros – The application, though outdated, is good.

Cons – Host recently had a significant layoff. They have just replaced their CEO and are in transition. There has been a lot of attrition. Don't just believe their positive reviews, some of which sound just too good to be true. Certainly not my experience. The environment can be very uncomfortable at times and Host has a high-pressure sales model. Just be very careful and ask all the right questions.

Advice to Senior Management – They won't listen to advice. Someone in the organization may be posting reviews that just aren't true. Beer pong in Ponca City - may not be a true reflection of how the team in Ponca City feels.

Pros – It use to be a great company that cared about its clients.

Cons – HA just laid off close to 25% of their workforce. They fired long term employees and all other top earners. There was apparently no logic applied to whether or not they could continue their present level of support. The only consideration seems to be cost.

Advice to Senior Management – Either sell immediately or you are going to work employees into grown and continue providing poor support for clients

Pros – HA being a small company, there is less of hierarchy. One can speak their mind. The management is open to suggestions and improvements to the existing process. It is fast growing so there is a lot of scope to grow for the willing.

Cons – Although they are 10+ years in the business, the start-up mentality still prevails in certain areas, which sometimes is a roadblock to the path to becoming a mature enterprise.

Advice to Senior Management – The management is focused to make a world class product, which is good. A small initiative should also go towards making the product maintainable.
