    Pros

Hot dog on a stick had excellent management. The ownership provided percentages of the company after 5 years of service with them.

    Cons

Hot dog on a stick does not have the most appealing uniforms. However, if you can where it, you can wear anything with confidence.

    Advice to Management

I would say keep doing exactly what you are doing. The training modules provide a very structured learning platform.

    Pros

Great job, super easy and fun. Especially being the only guy. Outfits are a little dorky but they're the best. It's fun because it's a hotdog stand. So you get some pretty cool customers. The hours are SUPER flexible.

    Cons

It's a small company, so wage is really low even as assistant manager. Closing can be tiring because of those last minute customers that make huge last minute orders.

    Pros

There really is no Pros for working for this company, unless you like to be treated and worked like a dog.

    Cons

Stress. Stress. Stress. It's a waste of time and effort to even bother! You start a few cents above minimum wage, and even after being promoted to Assistant Manager, I was getting paid 9. Ridiculous!

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with respect. This company has a high turnover rate!

    Pros

Unlimited hot dogs. Unlimited hot pay! Best people to work for if you are in carlsbad CA. They take care of their people. Slam dunk!

    Cons

No time off. 7 days a week. Open to close. Very very brutal. Upper management micro manages.

    Pros

Free lemonade and food, working with great people who became long-lasting friends, built some huge muscles stomping lemonade :) At the time I worked there, there were some cool incentives for students like the company paying for your textbooks. I don't know if that's still in place though.

    Cons

There were times where we were understaffed just to save money. Management drama affected the rest of us. Not enough pay for the amount of work. Of course the uniform is silly, but you know what you're getting into when you sign up for the job.

    Advice to Management

Make sure your crew feels like they are valued! Don't let work politics create problems with your team.

    Pros

Such a fun job, coworkers are pretty awesome for the most part. Starts out slightly higher than most food places. Schedule is very flexible. I never had to work a day i didn't want to while i worked there.

    Cons

Lots of the perks of working there got taken away over the last few years, such as tuition reimbursement and health insurance. The company doesn't have a very positive outlook at this point.

    Cons

    - Always working shifts by yourself
    - Must always be multi-tasking
    - Poor management

    Advice to Management

    Pros

HDOS cares so much for their employees. There are so many recognition programs to reward each employee. They offer great benefits for part time and full time employees. You also receive stock which is nice.

    Cons

There really isn't a such thing as full time here. Even as a manager I hardly ever worked 40 hours.
