I have been working at House of Blues part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Its a fun job where everyone is really open minded.

    Cons

Managers don't do what they're supposed to: manage! There's no leadership. Because of this, (especially in security) employee turn-around is ridiculously high. 6 months is the average shelf-life of NOLA-based security guards. So there's constantly new people who need to be trained.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees better; ensure their success by employing competent management.

I worked at House of Blues part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Brunch Service is a great way to make a great hourly wage + tips.

    Cons

Managers have favorites, so you may be put in a situation where you have to walk on eggshells. The employees are very clicky. Concert benefits boasted about in orientation are not achievable most of the time. Tickets to a good performer are hard to come by.
