I have been working at Howard University as a contractor (more than 3 years)

    Pros

You don't have to push yourself very hard. Kind of laid back life.

    Cons

If you wanna get sth done in an efficient manner, it's very difficult because it means you may take extra efforts to finish others' work. Also, the university is heavily political. No consistent policy can be expected.

One thing I'd like to see is more resources at Howard, but resources cost money. In this economy, I understand why the university must make difficult decisions about where they spend their money.
