I worked at Howard, Wershbale & Co. full-time

    Pros

I enjoyed working for HW&Co. Staffs are friendly and I made lots of friends. There are mentor programs that assign you with a mentor, which helped me a lot.

    Cons

Have to work long hours during busy season...although it is a must for all CPA firms. There has been a lack of communication between management and staff some time.

    Advice to Management

I enjoyed working here, the only advice i have is to listen to your employees more often and provide them with more development opportunities.

  2. Great if you are an Accountant not so much for an EHR Consultant

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Howard, Wershbale & Co. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Smart people, nice space, good benefits, plenty of parking.

    Cons

Old school. Could not grasp that technology allowed for remote training, accountability and that they had hired adults.

    Advice to Management

    embrace the 21st century.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Howard, Wershbale & Co. as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

It was beneficial for an intern to understand the "busy season" of an accounting firm. There was a decent amount of benefits given to employees during the spring (dinners, etc).

    Cons

It was extrememly busy and is definitely hard to have a life out of the office. There is a lot of pressure to become a CPA for every employee even though they may not want to become one.
