Advice to Senior Management
recruit the right people and tell them all when you recruit them.
Pros
I work at Huawei Device USA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Huawei Technolgies. I was given the opportunity to immediately collaborate with team members, improve processes and make a positive impact and contribution.
Cons
Because of the growth being experienced here, long hours are sometimes par for the course. It requires someone who has discipline and communication skills to understand and effectively use their resources.
Pros
Good benefits package and not a lot of pressure. Lots of experienced people picked up from other telecommunications companies that have laid off or gone broke.
Cons
Chinese people in charge--lack of management or leadership. Limited communication from those running things. Limited promotion opportunities unless you are Chinese. Lack of understanding of US culture. Dealing with large numbers of Chinese citizens working in the US and intervention in day to day US activities from China.
Advice to Senior Management
Hire more Americans. Success in the US depends on trust from employees and potential customers. The current people running operations in the US enjoy neither.
Pros

Cons
Many projects to do, lots of pressure

Cons
Pays Less than other Vendor, no Promotion and Priority is given to Chinese .

Advice to Senior Management
I wish to re-value some many sites, especially R&D since I don't see any benefit from it. What I see is that the people needs to spend much time on communication among different sites.
Pros
Good Pay package, good benefits, onsite openings, easy to switch across teams, new technologies
Cons
Horrible work culture, No proper road map, no proper training, most of them are freshers
Pros
Great learning oppotunity at HUAWEI
Cons
Strong chinese influence AT HUAWEI
Pros
1. Good hikes if willing to work hard.
2. Good project experience and challenging work in initial years.
3. Ability to grow at fast pace
Cons
1. Too much of work pressure. Unrealistic deadlines
2. Technically failed people put in management and hence they deteriorate overall team culture.
3. Management cannot take independent decisions. Parent Company in China has far bigger say than it should have.
