Cons – Complete Inability to Execute. Ineffective Non-Domestic Management who do not understand US Business Practices. Almost Corrupt Corporate Culture. Non-existent Sales Engineering.

Pros – Good benefits and work/life balance.

Cons – Too much bureaucracy! China HQ micromanages Huawei USA to the point of inactivity. Other vendors can deliver product faster than Huawei can provide a quote.

Advancement is too political.

US Citizens often become the scapegoat for Chinese Nationals.

US Government persecution.

Advice to Senior Management – Huawei HQ needs to give Huawei USA autonomy.

Pros – Huawei Technologies has 3 divisions in USA: Enterprise (networking/storage infrastructure), Consumer Device (smartphones/tablets), Carrier/Telecom and Futurewei (R&D group supporting the other divisions). Each division has it's own culture. The Enterprise group is a "startup" within a $35 billion company that is based in Silicon Valley, CA.

Cons – Typical ups and downs of a startup environment.

Advice to Senior Management – Increased PR efforts would help the sales teams do their job.

Cons – Company culture can be repressive

Advice to Senior Management – Work more diligently to apply current western business practices.

Pros – Global business with more opportunity
Competitive income if you have share bonus

Cons – Endless over time working
Complex hierarchy

Pros – Lots of freedom that each group has. The cafeteria is also very good with lots of authentic Chinese food, I would definitely work there again.

Cons – A majority of the employees are native Chinese speakers. The language and culture barrier is a little bit of an obstacle when working with others.
