I have been working at Hubwoo.com (More than 3 years)

    Pros

For the most part the company is easy to work for.

    Cons

Communication from upper management could be improved upon. Raises are few and far between.

    Advice to Management

Upper management needs to communicate down to the rest of the company better.

    I have been working at Hubwoo.com full-time

    Pros

It's incredibly flexible so you can work from home to be with your family, lots of vacation time, and no one really cares if you come into the office as long as you get your work done.

    Cons

The work just ins't there so if you're looking for a lot of opportunity either financially or for experience you'll be wanting more.

    Advice to Management

Stick with a plan and stop changing the direction so much. It doesn't help when the dedication to your employees who care and want to make things better aren't rewarded. You ask us to be innovative but when we are it's stifled by those who can't envision change and we aren't encouraged financially.

    I worked at Hubwoo.com full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - This company has the most flexible time I have ever seen. Depending on your position, you can work from home pretty much whenever you like, which is a huge plus for employees with families. - Their health benefits and PTO are top-notch. - They have some really talented, committed people.

    Cons

Lack of culture, lack of direction. In some departments, lack of collaboration and motivation.

    Advice to Management

Hubwoo is supposed to be a software company – invest more time and resources in improving the product and in building a company culture. Not only will you get your employees to stick around longer but you will also make them feel more confident about the software they are building and/or selling.

    Pros

    - good salary & experience - very international (great for experience - but can lead to poor communication) - growing industry

    Cons

    - lack of guidance & company strategy (very reactionary) - lack of career growth opportunities - risk (will Hubwoo be around in 3 years?)

    Advice to Management

    - too many offices and mangers (flatten hierarchy) - gain competency in strategic areas of procurement

    I worked at Hubwoo.com full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

If you work hard and take new challenges there is no doubt you can grow at Hubwoo into roles you could not have in larger firms. They are open to letting people develop. Global opportunities.

    Cons

Global environment for such a small company means there is always cross-lingual and cross-cultural work. Often this means the ball get's dropped... a lot.

    Advice to Management

Stop making all the important decisions at executive level without input from middle managers. Allow middle managers to grow by making real strategic decisions.

    I worked at Hubwoo.com full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Slightly above average salary. There's a 20 word minimum and I really can't think of anything else so I'm filling in with fillers.

    Cons

Horrible management, lack of direction, lack of communication, no vision, hubwoo is a Frankenstein company just made up of a ton of different companies that they just bought up. And the name. Hubwoo? Seriously?

    Advice to Management

The smart people have left. Whoever is left, you probably won't make it anywhere else. Hold on to your jobs although I'm curious to see what happens now that SAP bought Ariba.

    Cons

HR is the real boss- the directors follow what the HR wants Seems like you work in a factory. With login and logout. Every movement is timed Not results oriented HR SUCKS BIG TIME most employees who resigned is due to Horrible HR processes No Flexibility HR wont here your opinions, they are just mere complaints to them HR has no consideration on lates Primitive business model

    Advice to Management

Replace your HR, most of the people that went out are due to trash HR policies

    I have been working at Hubwoo.com full-time

    Pros

The space they are in presents opportunity even after Ariba acquisition by SAP. Good mid level talent. Good health benefits.

    Cons

The management means well, but seem to have no idea how to run a company. The Leadership Team make all decisions in a vacuum. The goal of everything done in the past year seems to be to sell the company. This may not be a bad thing, as fresh leadership may save it. Poor execution at every level. No one wants to take extra responsibility because of politics. Spread out workforce. This leads to massive amounts of unnecessary phone calls. Also leads to a no culture. It really does not feel like a software company. Outsourcing. They have chosen to outsource key core competencies.

    Advice to Management

Merge offices. Listen to what the market is telling you. Stop trying to compete with Ariba.

    Pros

The company has a good vision of where it wants to go, as nay company that has had to reinvent itself a few times it has growing pains, but I believe they have found the right path now. 1. great time to work with 2. good growing opportunities.

    Cons

need to execute the vision faster to catch up in the market.

    Advice to Management

Really like our CEO, just improve your communication, all decisions are taken within the leadership team and sometimes you are left clueless.
