    Pros

    If you perform you will be recognized. Very engineering centric work pace, very tight schedules during the product development and launch phase and very relaxed during the off cycle. Overall a very good place to work with room for your growth with creative ideas, good perks and reasonable time off policies

    Cons

    Could send employees to periodic system tools training and subject matter conferences. Very top heavy management, I anticipate a change coming in the next 3-5 years with a lot of the senior management retiring.

    Grow your mid level management more effectively and do not promote people for loyalties only.

    Pros

    Work life balance.
    You get lot of breaks during work.
    Keep delivering on your tasks in time and you will promotion in 2 years (don't expect sooner)

    HR is rude
    Pays are usually below market rate

    Put some life into work. Try more to manage employees who are seriously believe in job security, before things get out of hand.

    Access to free Internet and TV service, and discounts at other related companies.

    Cons

    Since the purchase by Echostar, the benefits have been eroded, salaries have become stagnant and the pressure and expectations have risen exponentially.

    Stop removing benefits and start rewarding the good hardworking employees instead of keeping that for yourself.

    HNS has great benefits and the work environment is exceptional. Management tries to listen to employees and keep them updated on what is going on in the company.

    While I worked there teleworking was not allowed.

    Pretty basic job. Reading the script got you in a position to achieve a decent level of success.

    Cons

    "Trainers" were hardly capable of speaking a sentence. Always "knew" everything however never showed their skill.

    Make the trainers actually showcase skills instead of acting like hotshots and never doing anything.
