    Pros

    Flexible work environment, trainings, benefits.

    Cons

Lazy managers who take credit for your work. Changes based on favoritism and not actual merit. Unfair practices.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do your own work. Base decisions on merit, production, and qualifications.

I worked at Humana full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

It is very hard to think of any Pros for the Glendale Arizona facility. Full on-site gym for all employees and they only charge $6.00/month

    Cons

Leadres do not grasp the concept of Workforce management. The WFM department does not understand the concept of Workforce management. Each department wants to be run as if it is its own company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It is time for new leadership in Workforce management. Remove the Yes men manager and supervisors. Start with a clean slate and rebuild that team. Focus on having every department run the same way.

    Pros

They pay well and provide many work from home opportunities.

    Cons

They like to say that they promote healthy work-life balance, however my department has been under mandatory overtime for more than 4 years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Think of associates as people and not resources.

Former Employee - Pharmacy Technician in Phoenix, AZ

I worked at Humana full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Pharmacy technicians, in general, are willing to work together for a common goal. There are some supervisors that genuinely care about their employees and their growth. Good 401K match and HSA match.

    Cons

There is high turnover here. I had three different bosses in three months at one point. They do not understand if you have a scheduling issue ever.

They claim to have work/life balance--they do not. Be prepared to spend all of your time at work come "busy season." They will give you no notice, and tell you that you have to come in 2 hours early the next day or work 2 hours late.

Miss work 3 times in 90 days, you will be fired.

Many of the upper management do not listen to a word you say, and the few that do often steal your ideas for improving efficiency and use them as their own.

HR is a joke. I once told a manager that I was considering going to HR about an issue, and they told me, "Go ahead and talk to HR. They say something different every time."

For a benefits company, they have terrible insurance benefits. It will cost you 1/3 of your pay (if you have a family) for a plan with a $2,400 deductible and after that you will still have to pay 10% of all costs until you reach $6,400.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Appreciate your employees. They're the ones who have to work efficiently, after all, to keep up your profit margins.
