    Pros

    1. Click Portal service line leaders promote work-life balance. People work hard (40 hrs a week is avg. if you are efficient at work) and get enough time to enjoy their lives outside work. 2. People who have been here for a long-time are very inspiring. 3. We do a great amount of community work. Keep it up! 4. Take as many PTOs as consider reasonable :-)

    Cons

    1. Short term bookings and irregularity in billable work causes insecurity and other fear. 2. Managers and below don't have a say in what projects they would work on. This leads to a disconnect from the motto that Huron promotes building your own career.

    Advice to Management

For the past 3 years we have been hiring a lot of directors and above from outside. We should rather encourage and enable people from inside to earn such promotions.

    Pros

Best Consulting Firm in for Revenue Cycle Healthcare Consulting

    Cons

Aggressively cost cutting - stricter on expenses, cut annual company conference, more aggressive project timelines with higher expectations

    Advice to Management

Stop making Huron feel like a large company, when you recruit off of the basis that you feel like a small company

    Pros

Great team working company culture, friendly and healthy working environment, wide spread project locations, rising business opportunities and market shares, strong methodologies and detailed implementation,

    Cons

Resistances and challenges from the clients are very common. Frequent traveling is required but is what you should expect from a consulting firm

    Pros

Flexible environment, talented colleagues, interesting projects

    Cons

Billable hours as primary metric for performance is reductionist, anti-collaborative, and doesn't allow for strategic growth.

    Advice to Management

Move away from obsessions with utilization. Build a real collaboration culture. If individual practices find it more profitable to partner with outside vendors than internal practices, then there is a problem.

    Pros

Flexibility to work at home on some weeks. Hard working staff. Can live almost anywhere in the States.

    Cons

Boys club at the top positions. Hand holding that stymies growth. Reporting structure very hierarchical. Have to know the right people to get the right roles to get promoted. Not based on actual ability or merit but heavily on your role opportunity (if the people in power don't put you in a good role, there goes your chance for a promotion).

    Advice to Management

Re-evaluate the promotion system (instead of weighing too much on being in a role to be promoted - some people have to wait an extra 6 months in order to prove that because they get placed in a bad role.)

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

Friendly team, great benefits, collaborative effort, they emphasize teamwork. Have a work hard party hard mentality. Benefits are good for a company where you have to travel often.

    Cons

Horrible management. Executive team is against change even when the industry is revolving right before their eyes. Do not fully understand how to leverage talent. The hiring process does not focus on the the future as much as it should.

    Advice to Management

Be aware of your surroundings and industry. Take the time to actually learn how your industry is evolving. It's a shame when you do not know what great talent you have lying with in Your current team.

    Pros

People Passion for healthcare Strong methodology and drives sustainable results for our clients Salary and benefits are comparable to level and responsibilities

    Cons

Promotions are twice a year. However, they require you to work in the role that you want to be promoted into before you can be recommended. Promotions in the field are more fluid. Young company so your manager could potentially not have much management experience.
