    Pros

Decent pay, fair management, good benefits, full time and part time positions avaliable. Large market to work in. Shift bids happen often.

    Cons

Hours can be brutal. You take a pay cut for working 24 hours shifts because you "can sleep at night" Let me tell you that's a rouse. You will not sleep much, if any on 24 hour cars.

    Advice to Management

Realize that the 24 hour cars take a beating. The fact that the 24 hours cars make less money and work more hours is truly a travesty. Q

  3. Great pay $15-$25/hour, HSA of $1500/year, BCBS vision/dental ppo, strict, busy, and unpredictable leadership.

    Pros

    Pay, benefits. Some good people.

    Cons

Junior Paramedic shifts are terrible. 3 week cycle. 3 24hr shifts for 2 weeks and 1 week with 2 24s or 4 12s.

    Advice to Management

more staffing is needed. Always critical coverage.

    Pros

I love the relationships that I have been able to build with my co workers. We have so much fun together and we are always able to joke around and laugh. I consider us to be a team and we get along very well. We have our problems just like anyone else but at the end of the day we are a family. This is the best company I have ever worked for. The management can be a bit much at times but overall I love working here.

    Cons

My particular position can be a bit tedious at times because of the callers. I also don't like that there's not really any room for growth because I would love to be here for years.

    Advice to Management

I don't really have too many complaints.

  6. Beware of flexible-part-time and part-time positions with this company.

    Pros

Part timers get paid on a 17 to 20 hour work week scale but if you clock more than 30 per week. Rest of what you earned is paid out on the following pay period.

    Cons

Bio metric reader has an 8 minute delay so you must clock in 15 to 30 minutes early to show an on time because management will place on performance improvement program and resolve the delayed clock in issues that you would have from clocking in or punching out.

    Advice to Management

    None

    Pros

co-workers, equipment, and involvement with medical control

    Cons

high up management, politics, uniforms, outdated company policies

    Advice to Management

listen to your employees, they are the backbone to the company. Stop wasting tons of money at zingermanns on the board of directors, totally not worth it.

    Pros

co-workers, equipment, continue education, unlimited amounts of overtime, health care, job security excellent training program, profit sharing

    Cons

micro managed by very high ups, unlimited overtime, sitting point(being moved from assigned area to another for coverage) low moral, not enough employees to have all of the shifts covered, vacations and pto, can only be 2 people off per day through out the entire company, and does not go by seniority, non union

    Advice to Management

get the moral up, stop micro managing so the company can be where it used to be with a great reputation like it had 6-10 years ago. listen to the road employees and take there advice or at least listen
