I worked at Hydro One full-time

    Pros

Good starting pay Job security - once you are in full time, you can't get fired unless you do something extreme. Awesome working hours - 7:30am-3pm - that allow you to have a life outside work. Good people

    Cons

It is government owned so your financial pay does not rise quickly as there is a virtual financial cap. Interns make $20,000 less than older non-supervisory staff and the CEO makes half a million.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing. Understandably, management's hand is limited since the company is government owned.

    Pros

Great internship! Department was full of former interns. I learned a lot from this work term, both technical knowledge and how to act properly in an office job! Greatly recommend their internship program.

    Cons

Some of the departments other interns were in seemed a bit boring since there wasn't enough work for all of them to do.

    Advice to Management

Rehire more former interns as new grads!
