Run, dont walk! Stay far far away!

I have been working at Hypertronics

    Pros

You get an hour lunch. The
pay is almost on par with other companies in the connector industry but thats to entice you to stay and to put up with the politics and terrible management.

    Cons

The executive management team needs a complete overhaul from the top down. They have poor ethics and horrible decisions are made on a whim. No consideration for the workers on the floor. Terrible managers are just kept in their position for years or decades and no retraining or corrections are made for their mismanagement. People are fired all the time for stupid reasons. They suck at hiring so there is an unbelievable amount of turnover. The employees have a game they play to guess who will quit or get fired each week! No stability. Its the managers against the little people, who have no voice. Jobs outsourced to Mexico. People are afraid to speak up to management because they are afraid they will lose their jobs. Very stressful environment and its all about margin and screwing the customer.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fire all managers from the top down amd start fresh! "Crap" runs downstream.

    Pros

    You get your own desk
    Lunch is an hour
you can make colored prints and copies

    Cons

Good, hardworking people barely get recognized.
Some of the managers have no managing skills.
    They are cheap, cheap, cheap!
Too many high up positions, too little of the little people.
No chance for growth unless you've got a buddy in the system.
People are very secluded and don't interact with you unless you engage with them first.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be honest and really look at the employees who work hard and some who hardly work.

I have been working at Hypertronics

    Pros

    Compensation is okay
The core product is good, the connectors designed 15 years ago are fine. All new products fail due to internal issues and poor management.

    Cons

    Jobs sent to Mexico
Very poor communication, many poor managers and much waste on projects.
    Most projects fail.
    Very poor customer relations.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The company is very top heavy, more directors and v. presidents then people working on the floor.
Take a class on business ethics
The managers have no entegrity, business ethics or class.
The turnover is about 100% every 2 years due to frustration, especially operations
The Quality and purchasing departments are non functional.
The business systems are horrid and do not work.
