    Pros

    -Mostly Relaxed environment
    -good insurance coverage
    -paid time off for sick & vacation
    -Good for gaining experience
    -sometimes opportunity for overtime

    Cons

    Not a lot of advancement opportunities and not a lot of transparency in company goals.

    Great networking opportunities since the turnover is relatively high.

    Cons

    Everything. Pay is less than market value because all the money goes to ego inflated sales force that has no concept of how to talk to people - they just yell louder and use bully tactics.
    The work lacks any intellectual stimulation because the sales force continues to use outdated tactics to keep niche volume customers that are not able to get space with another carrier.
    The rudeness of the cultures and values are astounding.

    Advice to Management

    Stop allowing old tenured dried up, no skills having people represent the sales force. This is a new generation with great ideas that would bring the business up to date.

    Pros

    Good medical insurance, nice office, opportunities to learn new skills

    Cons

    There is zero accountability, positive or negative feedback is non-existent. There is zero commercial sense and no strategic sales plan. Everyone is compartmentalized so there is no team work or synergy. The company is run in an extreme socialistic manor. Directives are pushed ahead without any thought of consequences.

    Advice to Management

    Hire american sales VPs. Provide serious team building workshops to create a more cohesive machine. Provide measurable goals and review w each team member at regular interviews. Coach people. Give recognition when deserved. Provide incentive and promote based on Merritt instead of tenure.

    Pros

    Company based out of Seoul Korea. They like to bring their people over for you to train and then they end up replacing you.

    Cons

    Charlotte office has a nice group of approachable supervisors.

    Advice to Management

    Hire people based on their credentials, not because they are Korean.

    Pros

    Good insurances that keeps employees.Overtime paid for clerks only.

    Cons

    Do not expect any bonuses or raises. Worse benefits such as employee contribution every month & co pay of $20 starting from 2014. This company is losing too much money every year since 2011.

    Advice to Management

    Make wise decision for HMM to grow up by, not having "just do it" mind that result huge financial loss. Stop playing ping pong game when something happens.

    Pros

    You will get paid OT if you need it. Although you pay for your insurance, it's ONLY medical. Vision and Dental are covered. Great vacation accrual rate. Benefits are overall good. Has a "family" atmoshere for the most part.

    Cons

    Lower then average salary. no bonus / raises for the past 3 years. Mgmt at upper level unaware of real happenings at lower level. Spvrs and A.Mgrs were never trained on how to be spvr/managers. Unfair workload. no cross training. Very strict on arrival time regardless of traffic issues, you are late 1 minute, it counts against you and later effects your bonus. Only ONE person does your review and even if you challenge the review, because a spvr/mgr did it, it's considered worth more then your rebuttal. Very uneven playing field.

    Advice to Management

    Managers should be reviewed by the employees they supervise, not by upper mgmt who DOES NOT HAVE A CLEAR PICTURE of their ability or lack of. Cross Training should be a MUST. No one person should be doing one job. With the exception of Raters, all CSR's should be able to do Web Bookings, BreakBulk bookings and enter hazMat information. Spvrs and Mgrs at the RCSC level should be workers and not think their job is to DELGATE workload. Pricing Dept needs an overhaul. It should NEVER take 8 days to get a reefer rate from AHQ Pricing. You will lose the business if a rate is not quoted to the customer in 4 hours. 8 days wait time is just unheard of.

    Pros

    Excellent compensation, fast paced and team oriented work environment, opportunities to advance and grow within company.

    Cons

    Possible relocation, steep learning curve with lack of efficient training programs, work schedule time changes and lack of overtime opportunities.

    Continue to help employees grow.
