    Pros

This is an ok company to work for. Great benefits provided to employees. Fair pay and 401k. I would recommend it to a friend

    Cons

    promotions, perks, time-off, overtime, management

    Pros

During install phase, delivery bonuses are very rewarding. You gain a lot of knowledge and experience.

    Cons

Benefits are not at all up-to-par with other companies. You pay the majority of health insurance costs and all of the dental/vision cost.
Raises are, likewise, sub-par with many employees ranking "good" only getting a 1% raise.
Ambition is not valued and Belgian HR discourages Americans from applying for R&D positions.
No real opportunity for growth within the company.
Management works 9am to 6pm, when we're operational from 7am to 11pm (and required to do maintenance on third shift). They're critical of anything that occurs outside of their working hours.

I have been working at IBA full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Work was varied; technical workers had a great deal of opportunity to branch out; opportunity to travel and to work with people from fourteen different countries; interesting technology; products that could make a major difference in people's lives.

    Cons

Difficult people could be found on every level, but management was unusually concerned about protecting themselves from their employees. As a results, any employee or potential employee must work extra hard to protect themselves from management. Thus, everything turned into a negotiation, and often settled agreements were still not honored. This is why the title of my review is "Be careful..."
Anyone doing business with the company should always give thought to their "BATNA" (Best Alternative to a Negotiated Agreement.)
The company is also poorly organized, with many communication problems, and is still managed by the same key people who ran it as a startup.

I worked at IBA full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Somewhat flexible schedule, pay is great for an inexperienced new hire

    Cons

Raises don't keep up, health benefits are average, new equipment can be a nightmare to install. In example, every part I received from Headquarters was damaged on arrival. Meaning the part has to be fixed before it can be used to fix what it was sent for. Little advancement potential, literally go from being in the trenches to in charge of everything, if you positioned yourself for the jump to management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to look a bit further into scheduling and build a few plans for what to do if X or Y or Z happens. That way employees can plan what they need to do, like renew their apartment lease or get the kids enrolled into that great school.
Get the supply chain worked out and get a better shipping containers and shipper.

I have been working at IBA full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great people to work with
    Laid back atmosphere
Many different things to learn and work on

    Cons

Shifts, no opportunity for job growth, small raises, limited job outlook in the field (training is limited to this company), no real training done just thrown into things to learn
    No work/life balance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try and show you care about employees, management is a permanent vacation position, almost never on site and always drinking.

    Pros

Laid back, lots of freedom, opportunity to gain experience with many different types of systems, variety of work atmospheres depending on shift.

    Cons

Lack of management, guidance, and documentation. It is on you to figure out how to learn what you need to know, as there is no proper training plan. IBA is also in a process of change, so rules seem to vary week by week.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put more effort into examining and improving management and documentation.

I have been working at IBA full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Schedule is a shifting 4 days on, 4 days off, 12 hour shifts. The shifting part is three weeks of nights over to three weeks of days. There is a lot to learn in this field. A job with IBA would appeal to anyone who likes to tinker with electronics and mechanics. Someone who also does not get bored doing the same test over and over.

    Cons

Documentation and training are difficult to come by. A small company that is based in Belgium. The Belgium thing can be a little weird at times or different, a for instance, wire labeling. I am use to labeling being origin to destination, in Belgium it is lowest number(meaning either origin or destination can come first). Little things like this can trip one up all the time and lead to confusion. Another thing is that if you work something to resolution one time and no one else has, then your the subject matter expert at this company. These are not necessarily bad things but can lead to some serious frustration.
