    Pros

Had a real role that was integral to the the team, was very autonomous and was able to learn some key management skills. Team and manager were great to work with.

    Cons

Corporate bureaucracy lead to the team I worked for to be extremely stretched. The work-life balance was non existent for some of the team as they covered roles of people who were never replaced

    Advice to Management

Upper management cost cuts were really hurting the technical teams, moral was extremely low when I left.

    Pros

Great work flexibility. The ability to travel overseas and interstate. Lots of money being invested in technology.

    Cons

Archaic internal processes, no logic what so ever. Promotions and jobs given to friends who have absolutely no qualifications. Office politics is rampant.

    Advice to Management

Hire best people for the job and be proactive and promote people before they leave.

    Cons

The travel, and potentially not knowing what boundaries you have as to working from home and training.

    Pros

Nice people, but few stays. It is still stable and flexible. A lot of good partners like Apple. Do not push hard for the outcomes.

    Cons

It's no longer the company 10 years ago. The company does not care what employees think and just mind the stock price.

    Advice to Management

People, quality people is more important than anything else.

    Pros

Focused on innovation. They are catching up to changes brought on by Digital, so offering around Cloud, Mobility, Analytics, Social, Security and how these solutions can help enterprise is moving in the right direction.

    Cons

By focusing on Earnings Per Share, they are cutting cost down, with a possible detriment to services to customers.

    Advice to Management

Innovation will lead to greater marketer acceptance & increased revenue. A magical focus on EPS can be to the detriment of innovation

    Pros

Good people to work with, great processes.

    Cons

Hard to progress career based on the artificial and unnecessary 'hoops' that are required such as the CareerSmart framework in GBS that requires you to heavily document your achievements.

    Advice to Management

    Review the performance evaluation system.

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

Mature organisation, with strong and well developed processes.

    Cons

The company is 'downsizing' and divesting many areas of the business. They're performing quarterly retrenchments and expecting the remaining resources to pick up the slack...without investing in tools and automation. The culture has become somewhat toxic.

    Advice to Management

Share your hidden commercial agenda with your employees.
