    Bad Management, Low Morale

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsWork at home options, good team work across business lines. Excellent skill base of empployees

ConsBad Morale, Management has one focus and that is on themselves. Only goal of company is for 2015 EPS goals that will eliminate more employees

Advice to Senior ManagementCare more about employees than themselves. Treat people with respect and instil a sense of pride in their accomplishments No raises or bonuses and take aways all the time.

    Big company with unlimited Opportunity

Associate Partner (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsWhatever you want to do can be found at IBM. Pay can be good depending on what part of the business you enter. Ability to work at home for most job functions is great for work-life balance.

ConsWith such a big company you can get lost unless you seek opportunities. Bureaucratic much like any big companies.

Advice to Senior ManagementSimplify IBM from the inside out, it will resonate with clients.

    Consultant - Consulting by Degrees

Consultant (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsCBD is a good program for someone who wants an opportunity to learn a lot about different businesses and consulting projects right out of school. Lots of opportunities to get involved in the program and company outside of specific role - if you are a go-getter, you can get a lot out of the CBD program.

ConsIt is difficult to get staffed on specific projects - you need to be open to making the most of wherever you land.

Overall solid company, good place to work

Sales Executive (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsIf in the right division and position, good culture and ability to grow. IBM still a consistent brand and vendor with large customers (low in mid-market), continues to drive the "back-office" of the enterprise.

ConsVery bureaucratic, if not in the right management structure could be difficult to navigate. Complex relationships internally between brands and groups, need to be able to maneuver through a thoroughly diverse set of organizations. Not uncommon for a company with excess of 100k employees (x4).

Advice to Senior ManagementManagers - Focus on talent. Hire the best. Allow them to get outside the box. Help them navigate the engine that is IBM.
