    Pros

Opportunity, everyone shares similar work ethic, salary has performance based incentives, things work like clock work.

    Cons

Cannot think of any, I thrive on opportunity, so am pleased.

    Advice to Management

Open transparent communication exists so no need to share.

    Pros

A very highly valued agency, doing excellent work with people with all sorts of disabilities, from mental health so physical to brain injury to substance abuse, etc.

    Cons

ICD is going to close, all except the Vocational Department. This is really a very sad thing. This agency has been serving the needs of the disabled In NYC since 1917...and now due to financial difficulties they are closing.o

    Pros

Plenty of interns, always someone to talk to. Going to Tafel.

    Cons

The work of interns is not only boring but pointless. There's no explanation given, only tedious tasks of formatting databases, googling the most random things, contacting NGO-s and spamming millions of email addresses.

    Pros

End result of forums is rewarding

    Cons

too much emphasis on outreach, weeks are spent collecting email address so we can spam universities, organisations.

    Advice to Management

Make a working connection with universities and ask them to post your forums instead of spamming the whole faculity

    Pros

Great people to work with, and plenty of opportunities to network with high-profile politicians (ambassadors and the like). As well, there are ad-hoc projects abroad which may include subsidised travels.

    Cons

Very poor (or non-existent?) human resource department. Management is terrible, and interns have very little opportunities to get professional training.

    Advice to Management

Hire more managers with actual experience, and take your interns more seriously. The CEO should take a long-term view on the organisation, and develop a coherent strategy for the next 10 years.

    Pros

Other interns are friendly but that's bound to happen since there are around 100 of them and only 5 staff.

    Cons

I no longer put the ICD on my CV since it raises eyebrows among those who work in the NGO sector. 6 Months wasted! Not a penny earned. * So many interns and so few paid staff who don’t know what they’re doing * Some interns chosen to be team leaders, i.e. paid interns, after which salaries are not paid, or management refuse to give contracts. * Poorly organised conferences * Interns spend 80% of their time collecting email addresses and spamming speakers or using fake LinkedIn profiles to spam groups. * Conferences are planned at the last minute and everything is always conducted in a rush.

    Advice to Management

I don't even know where to begin.
