I worked at IDBI Bank (More than a year)

    Pros

Good pay, good working environment. One of the best place to work for freshers. Good growth opportunities if someone works hard. No strict dress code. Working hours are good for corporate office

    Cons

They should have separate operations and marketing teams for retail banking departments. It be comes very hectic and tough for operations department to do both operations as well as selling. Should have good working hours for branch banking too

    Advice to Management

Please have separate operations and marketing staff. Reduce work days to 5 days a week and also if having 6 days a week reduce the after customer hours working time for branch banking staff

I have been working at IDBI Bank full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good salary (Govt.Owned Bank) , good number of annual leaves , annual increment

    Cons

No work culture, Poor leadership, No interdepartmental support ,

    Advice to Management

Need some political analysis , the products and services are good, salary is excellent, good work-life balance but you compromise with low performance. Take away few political people and IDBI will go places.

    Pros

Very helpful manager who was always there to answer questions. I had left for another job opportunity but was sure an offer would have come at IDB.

    Cons

Bit of an older work environment. I was young when i worked there and would have liked to have some more people in my age group.

    Advice to Management

Not much i could tell the management, my work was done pretty low down on the pay scale so I probably couldn't help.

I worked at IDBI Bank full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Better salary structure than other PSBs Better Branch infrastructure

    Cons

    1) Unskilled, inefficient, uncivilized people are mostly managers here. 2) Worst HR policies, rather no policies at all. No profiling of the candidate. 3)One man show culture. Staff is over burdened. 4) No uniform, structred process across the branches, regions, zones. 5) No proper coordination between the branches and back end teams. Due to this, customer suffers a lot. 6) Very bad resource management by RHs and HR. 7)No support from specilized teams to crack the deals. 8)No leadership quality in managers. 9) No proper strategy to acquire business, rather whole pressure is percolated to ground staff. 10)No proper KRA for employees. 11) Branches do not follow proper process.

    Advice to Management

If they are concerned about the future of the organization, they can have a thought on below remarks: 1) Proper profiling of the candidate based on his educational background and skills. Not everyone is meant to be sales man or teller. 2) Bank can cut cost by hiring more executives rather than officers. Most of the tasks can be completed by exectives. 3) Bank can work on talent retention policies. 4) ensure better coordination between brnaches and back end teams like CPU,RPU
