I worked at IEG as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Young, attractive office culture Great employees Company outings and interactive meetings Open minded culture. Anyone can voice their opinions

    Cons

Company is part of large conglomerate and in a state of transition. Compensation isn't the best Niche market

    Advice to Management

Create a standard training program to get new hires up to speed. Hire a real HR manager in office.

I have been working at IEG full-time

    Pros

If you do not know sponsorship, you will have a very good understanding of the landscape after one or two years. Casual work environment.

    Cons

Difficult to find effective leaders who will hold themselves accountable for company's large short comings and motivate employees in meaningful ways. Strong clique(s) that creates division between people. Lack of transparency when it comes to assigning client work, i.e. people get work that they have no business working on. Work/learnings does not help people advance within company or to next career step.

    Advice to Management

Have a clear, shared vision of where you want to go and what you want to be with your employees. Without the internal buy-in and reinforcement of said vision, company will continue to be a rudderless ship trying to avoid the rocky shore all while barely staying afloat.

I have been working at IEG full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great people, smart, would like to have fun. Ability to hear from leaders in sponsorship. Well known.

    Cons

Weak leadership, no advancement opportunities, part of GroupM, bigger is not better. all decisions based on financial and they are happy to tell people that. Leadership gets deep in the weeks and does not allow employees to take leadership positions. Not a trusting environment and it all starts at the top.

    Advice to Management

Need to take a close look at how the company has been run and why it isn't growing.

    Pros

Smart people with deep knowledge, some good people in middle management.

    Cons

Horrible, HORRIBLE culture, very little opportunity for advancement, terrible top management. I would certainly not recommend this company unless you'll receive a huge pay raise. if not, it's simply not worth the aggravation.
