    Pros

lots of exposure to different companies. Travel, if you enjoy it. good coworkers within the field.

    Cons

Pay is below average compared to other firms. Often expected to travel for long, extended periods of time. Often times your supervisors do not know much about how you perform at the jobsites you are actually working at. Your

I worked at IET Inc. full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

-Get paid well. You get paid for travel hours very well - Some good senior engineers who are knowledgeable (but they don't teach it to everyone)

    Cons

    - A poor place to start your carrier with. -No work ethics - They fire you at will ( They fire you once they are out of projects which happens twice a month) - They tend to use up all of your energy for the money they pay you ( Since all they do is time studies. So you have to stay there inside the working area the entire day) - They don't worry about your health since they pay you well -They don't teach the skills to everyone ( Which means if you are just working on time studies alone, there is a high probability that you could get fired once the project is done) - No visa sponsorship to international students (95% of the time), but the majority ( more than 70%) who work there are them. They have sponsored 2 people during 2011- 2013

    Advice to Management

    - To be a bit more ethical in your work - Give respect to your employees when they work ( They almost work 10 hours everyday while on projects doing time studies and they hardly get 40 minutes of lunch break in between. They can't bail out until someone comes and relieves them which never happens as they are always short of employees on big projects)

I worked at IET Inc. full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people are nice, mostly young college grads due to high turnover rate. A good step in the right direction for a more stable position, but not with IET. Good exposure to different types of projects.

    Cons

Low pay, try to take advantage of new grads. Benefits package is terrible, HE is not the best.

I have been working at IET Inc. full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good learning experience. Get to work for different firms and develop connection. There is no office culture as the consultants work from the client's site.

    Cons

No benefits. Low income. The staff will never support it's own employee. You don't feel a part of the organization. you don't get to socialize with IET employees since most of them work from client's site.

    Advice to Management

The management should ask employee about projects and should support it's own employees!

  7. Avoid if you can! This company is notorious for lying to their clients and have high turn over rate!

I worked at IET Inc. full-time

    Pros

-Lots of travel involved if you find projects and like traveling. That's the only pro that comes to my mind.

    Cons

    - Very POORLY managed company (they are not very knowledgeable when it comes to the kinds of work that their employees will be performing) - They make YOU buy items that are not required on work - Salary is very low compare to where you'll be making else where - Before accepting your offer, make sure you get EVERYTHING in writing since this company is there to make money off YOU. Some of the people I've worked with were not reimbursed for cost when they were promised. - They WILL let you go once the project is done and there is no work left so don't be surprised when that comes. -Their HR people are the worst to deal with so avoid at all cost if you can.

    Advice to Management

Make your HR people more knowledgeable about the work and perhaps treat their employees like humans. By doing so, you'll have less turn over rates.

    Pros

You get 4 weeks of vacation because General motors shuts down their facilities twice a year and since most of our projects are with GM and their suppliers we follow the GM schedule. You are not stressed out when there are projects and the company is making money. If you are lucky, you constantly travel and get exposed to new projects/companies at Fortune 50 companies. Good place for an entry level Industrial Engineer

    Cons

You get laid off when there are no projects. Pay is a little bit low compared to what you could be making. It's a one man firm, with project managers on top. Limited possibilities for career advancement.

    Advice to Management

Better communication with staff. Also realize that the clients are not always right.

Great place to start and gain experience, but don't make a career out of it.

    Pros

You will gain experience in multiple fields and companies. You will deal with all levels of employees from plant workers, to corporate directors, to small company owners. You will make many contacts at large companies, and it is a great source of networking.

    Cons

You work the projects that are assigned to you. You could be out of town for long stretches of time. Networking is not always great because you may be sent to companies that are soon to be out of business, or are laying people off. There are only Industrial Engineers and Engineering Managers, not much room for advancement.

    Advice to Management

Inform workers about the status of the company in terms of new work. Many people are layed off as soon as they complete a project.

I worked at IET Inc. full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good travel pay and wide industrial exposure.

    Cons

Absolutely no work ethics. These people hire donkeys and promise the clients that these donkeys won the horse races. A bunch of females who go to any extent and lie a lot for getting the project. If u want a good career, don't opt for this company.

    Advice to Management

Make hay when the sun shines. Once the share holders are aware of what's happening at your client's place, things wont be the same.
