    Pros

Management: Management is great, respectful and knowledgeable.
Culture: Great culture, focus on people above all else, respect and knowledge are key.

    Cons

Compensation: Very low pay with little growth
    Perks: Very little perks
Hours: Little scheduled work times and changing your schedule is a pain.

    Advice to Management

Keep up with great management and culture, best parts about the job.
Pay could be raised, or just give people more hours instead of constantly hiring new staff.

    Pros

Maybe the best thing is that every one of my coworkers is easy to get along with. Management is friendly and willing to work with you.

    Cons

    The pay could be better.

    Advice to Management

I recommend reducing prices. This would definitely attract more customers, as IGA is currently one of the most expensive stores in the area.

    Pros

Easy enough job, friendly employees, good management (with the exception of one), most customers are easy going enough

    Cons

Absolutely no way to advance, horrible pay, not real flexible with hours, expect you to be quick while stocking and they didn't care if it was rotated or not

    Advice to Management

Reward hard working employees, treat employees like people not just a number, pay decent pay to people who deserve it

The store manager and the store owner always treated me very fairly.

    Cons

Being a small privately owned store there is limited room for career advancement.

    Pros

The culture there was pretty good. The employees who had been there for a while were nice to me and good conversation. The pay was a little above minimum wage but you did get a discount on quite a few foods.

    Cons

It does not feel the most rewarding out of the jobs I have had. Some of the managers did not remind you about your breaks very often.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. Your friendliness and consideration made working here enjoyable.

    Pros

Great managers, friendly people, a good and clean environment to work in, decent hours for some people, decent benefits for full-time work.

    Cons

Extremely low pay, less hours than needed, not much of a chance of moving up in position through promotion.

    Advice to Management

It would be nice to get a raise or atleast a promotion with a raise, plus more hours or a chance at a full-time position.
