    Pros

Exposure to Fortune 500 companies. Increases professional experience.

    Cons

Inability of company to recognize good talent and place it accordingly. Supervisors and managers lack experience and core knowledge of positions they were supervising. Salary does not commensurate with experience. They should allow for those with more experience to earn more.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Place the proper talent in the correct positions. Do not place people with out experience in supervisory roles. It leads those being supervised disgruntled. Allow flexibility in salary. You have to have the ability to pay those with more experience a higher salary. That's the only way to retain talented employees.

I have been working at IGATE full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

it's training system is very good. Culture and work environment is not changed significantly after acquisition of Igate to Patni.

    Cons

Promotion policy is good for the people working in the same business unit, and mostly dependent on the reporting officer. But the promotion option is ridiculous for employee who is hired from other Business unit.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If one BU is deploying its resources to other BU, the base BU superior should keep eye on those deployed employees, especially at the time of apprisal, otherwise those will be humiliated and leave the company with bad memories.
Usually these deployed resources observed as stepchild/2nd class behavior in that BU, especially it comes to the choice of the BU reporting officer. RO will promote, motivate, and encourage the people only belong to his BU.

I worked at IGATE full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Very good benefits package, good salary rate, kept their promises.

    Cons

No real interaction, too many people doing one thing, never made me feel part of it, disorganized. I was left stranded in El Paso because their project was cut off and never offered me a new location, even when they are an international company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more attention to new projects, new hires and the possibility of actually caring about them.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
