    Pros

Loved the diversity on campus. Very rewarding to work and help kids. Meet a lot of important people. Great opportunities for networking. Good benefits. Always a lot going on on campus, so it is always fun,

    Cons

Can be political at times. Big company so you can get lost in it. Some departments play favorites. More pros than cons.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try not to play favorites. Try to promote more from within instead of hiring outside people.

    Don't keep their word.

    I worked at IMG Academies

    Pros

None I can think of. But this review requires 20 words. The campus is beautiful and getting a discount at the spa was nice.

    Cons

Don't pay what they promise, run employees into the ground, more is never enough. There is an endless stream of new employees foolish enough to believe their lies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop hiring 6 figure do-nothing's and invest I. Your staff.

    I worked at IMG Academies

    Pros

The internship and company name looked good on my resume when applying for full-time jobs after graduating college.

    Cons

The internship is unpaid and they don't give you much work to do. So it's almost a joke. I've heard a lot of their internship positions are the same way.

Outside perception is that it is a great place to work but the reality is unfortunately that it is not.

I have been working at IMG Academies

    Pros

Company offers great benefits including health, vision and dental, as well as 401K. Work is performed on a 400 acre campus in Florida and most employees have the chance to be outdoors some of the day which is nice. Lots of great people work there and lots of great kids go there. Sports environment.

    Cons

Lots of pressure because the company expects each employee to work long hours and do much more than one person can handle with no recognition for carrying the extra load. There is also not much room for advancement. For the most part the upper management VP team isn't qualified to lead their divisions. Lack of proper leadership and adequate pay raises has created very poor morale among the staff. Perception is that it is all about the bottom line and employees really don't matter. Everyone feels overworked and very under paid and many employees talk about looking for other jobs. Due to recent VP structure the managing director is detached from what is really going on. IMG has become known as a stepping stone to get started because it looks good on a resume but because of extreme burnout most of the best qualified staff decides to leave.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The managing director is smart and personally does a good job but the NY management team should gain a better understanding of the overall organizational structure that has been put in place and the people chosen to fill the VP roles. Except for a couple of the VPs that came from the outside they are not smart leaders and over the long run the company will not achieve its goals because the right people are not in the strategic leadership roles. In addition if they want to retain qualified staff they need to pay them more and make them feel like they care about them and not just the bottom line.

I have been working at IMG Academies

    Pros

Great facility, good benefits. Everyone leaves work early, working around 30 hours a week.

    Cons

No communication between upper management and different departments, managerial structure very unorganized, unqualified personnel running the business, very political, coaches are not the best and they do not love their job, software outdated, agents over paid and do not do their work properly, scholarship budget not fairly distributed, overpriced academy, awful training for employees, and clients aren't treated the right way for all the money they pay
