Pros

It used to be a workplace with a mission. The employees worked well together because the level of politics was low and everyone was generally excited about the opportunity of creating products that made a positive difference in consumers lives.

Cons

After the 2nd gen took over the company the level of negative politics increased substantially along with a general disrespect for the employees. Upper management was no longer populated with the best and brightest, but rather individuals that agreed with the new, young 2nd gen CEO regardless of the soundness of the business decision.

Advice to Senior Management

A positive, stable, environment for employees creates greater opportunities for company success than a negative, "keep 'em on their toes" environment does.
