I have been working at INDUS full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

My personal growth within a company is to be capable of handling and understanding more than one position, as this allows for greater flexibility within the organization. One area for personal growth is responsibility. Being responsible is a trait that is identified with maturity. The ability to accomplish and take on new responsibilities is especially important in any place I work. My personal growth is self-confidence and acquisition of new skills and knowledge.

    Cons

Challenges of working here Is really liking my job. One way is to motivate people, remove roadblocks from their path, and focus them on the things that are most important

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the people around you. Ask for their input when appropriate. Keep an open mind.

  7.

    A company in decline.

I have been working at INDUS full-time

    Pros

Recent contract losses and failure to gain new customers resulted in a large number of layoffs of over-head staff and a reduction in benefits. Lack of technical and management skills hurt the company.

    Cons

The atmosphere is brutal - hostile and unproductive. Backstabbing, fighting, and screaming are the order of the day. Some team members even went so far as to
sabotage projects (so they could try to save it later and make themselves look good). The huge egos (and there are many of them) can barely get along.
What is really sad is that the needs of the customer take a back seat to the personalities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clean out the management ranks - current staff is in over their head and should be replaced with people who care, have real experience managing people and projects, and can make the difficult decisions needed to clean up the .place

I worked at INDUS full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The project managers were very good about engaging with the contractors they managed. Communication was encouraged.

    Cons

Once a new employee began working at the client site, there was very little involvement with the company outside of the staff for the client site.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some more interaction to build camaraderie between headquarters and the client sites would be good. Incentives such as free tickets to local events or an annual picnic.
