Pros
benefits and career advancement oportunities
Cons
long hours and lack of communication
Advice to Senior Management
should offer possibility to evaluate managers
Pros
At least my manager is a very reasonable person. Happy to work with him.
Cons
Sometimes some people are busy working like pig, some are not.
Advice to Senior Management
Should bravely kick out those 'bad' birds, instead of everyone's being safe. It would be nice to provide VPN access.
Pros
Company is making steps to improve their work environment. Work / Home balance is a global goal.
Cons
Company is very process bound. Not a lot of entrpreneurial spirit is encouraged. Something of a top down command and control structure.
Advice to Senior Management
Few committees, more direct responsibility and accountability
Pros
the perks
good atmosphere
good management
Cons
the work environment(ie. cubical spaces) are a bit out dated and kind of drab
employes are not always informed of process changes all the tim and the training of new staff is not yet standardized across the board
Advice to Senior Management
i would tell that to look at the people working for them and make them happy first before trying to improve them because if the employees are not happy then they will not be motivated to work harder for the company.... a happy worker makes a happy manager.
Pros
ING is a very reputable company, one of the largest insurer's in Canada. The people who work there are all very friendly and generally willing to help.
Cons
Little to no recognition is given for a job- if it even gets reviewed. There does not seem like much possibility for advancement or career development through the company that is publicly advertised anyways. There is little or no effort made towards technical evolution- the company seems to be happy to continue doing things the way they have always been done and suggestions to do otherwise are not generally received well. They should recognize this in order to become better overall as a company.
Advice to Senior Management
None.
