    Pros

    Since the company is owned by TD Ameritrade, you had a big company feel with lots of things happening. Standard benefits, PTO, etc. Great sales training.

    Cons

    This originally started as a coaching company, and hadn't really changed in management and structure. There were 2-3 "top" sales people with very little skill; they were on the gravy train because they were in the right place at the right time.

    There was also a new way of getting revenue up on the board by being assigned a TDA branch and having them refer business to you with folks who had deposited funds in the branch. This was extremely unfair and favored high volume branches. This caused some major inconsistencies with performance - some quarters you'd have a random joe sell 300% of target and then barely hit Minimum Performance Standards the following quarter.

    Sales managers were very good at finding loopholes to get extra revenue on the board. While this was extremely helpful if you were trying to hit a target, it wasn't really fair and didn't properly reflect effort or skill.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    The old coaching days are over - we need to either go back to the roots (setter-closer) or change the entire sales model completely.

    Pros

    Opportunity for growth. Performance rewarded, Good People, Good Company. Pay for performance with a base Salary. That makes it possible to transition. The learning curve is steep, but the job is worth it

    Cons

    Changes are not fully formed when rolled out. Much confusion, Many buckets to fill. Hard to stay on task with so many direction

    Think it through first. Its all good.. but think it through first before rolling it out
