    Pros

lots of opportunity for new college graduates. It is a great group of people to work with and the pay is very good. Its got a very good future so you can count on job stability. Safety is a number one priority on the site which is also good.

    Cons

The location is very far from where i live. The location is around deer park which is full of different plants and refineries. You have to deal with all the smell of chemicals as you drive to and from work which can get annoying at times.

I have been working at INVISTA full-time

    Pros

There are no Pros about working at this facility in Victoria, Texas

    Cons

No work life balance, The company preaches "MBM Principals" but twist them to meet managements needs. Safety and Health are sacrificed because they have let go or forced out all of the experienced operators and engineers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Too many changes, too quick. People are more than numbers and costs. The culture needs to change because the processes are very dangerous. - Victoria Texas

I worked at INVISTA full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Friendly atmosphere and benefits were adequate compared to other organizations. I was able to buy carpet for my new house at a greatly discounted price.

    Cons

Management left a lot to be desired. My manager had no clue as to what it took on a daily basis from me to accomplish my assignments. No raises were given unless you could provide value to the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When you hire someone to be a manager, be sure to assess their ability to manage.

I worked at INVISTA full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

This job offered decent pay and was a fairly stable job. I was hired on when the company was still owned by DuPont and I would have to say it was a lot better job back then. The best thing about the Koch owned Invista was the insurance.

    Cons

The cons of this job for me was the lowering of the pay scale after the change of ownership form DuPont to Koch, the swing shifts and the lack of locality of the company to the employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn to value your good employees instead of focusing solely on profits, rules and diversity.
