I have been working at IPG Mediabrands as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

    Amazing place to learn from.
Office culture is fun and young.
    Nice pay.

    Cons

Everyone can do the same job, you just need to know the right people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop letting people kiss there way through the company. Those who are where they are are there because they knew the right person, do not think their actual work meant anything in advancing.

I have been working at IPG Mediabrands full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good vacation benefits. Flexible work schedule. Good location. Great place to grow your skill set. But that comes at a cost.

    Cons

Terrible pay for NYC and that doesn't account for the absurd workload. (HINT: Less people to pay, more profit. Do more with less.) As mentioned in the pros, you will grow your skill set, but only because you have to deal with constant issues that stem from awful communication.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on quality over quantity. Yes, you are in a competitive market and have to under-staff. However, that stress and weight is put on the backs of employees.

I have been working at IPG Mediabrands full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Time off, multiple disciplines, and relaxed work environment.

    Cons

Very poor communication across agencies, lack of transparency, hierarchy is very top heavy, agency leaders are way more concerned with relationships than being progressive and successful.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Transparency, transparency, and transparency! And, be consistent if nothing else. This is why everyone (top down) is jumping ship at an alarming speed. The HR department seems very transactional and offer no real benefit to developing people.

I worked at IPG Mediabrands full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    - team was very good! Very nice people, best I have worked with
    - good team culture
    - flexible and understandable from senior management

    Cons

    - Lots of Senior management changes, not easy for employee to feel settle and have an orientation of what they are doing, because every 3 months, their big boss changes, and will be told to do different things
    - Not enough personal development
    - They use their own indoor tools, so is not the best if you have to go back to the work market one day.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - If the senior management keeps changing all the time, how would them to expect the juniors to stay?
