    Advice to Management

My advice is to scrap all managers hire new ones and redo the entire management structure to change the revolving door that is in the company.

    Pros

    Competitive salary, great benefits package

    Cons

Not sure where to begin. All "Senior Managers" are not prepared for the roles they have. There is no apparent direction from any of these Managers to take to their teams. If you need something, might as well submit it and escalate it. That's the true IPsoft mantra. Nothing can and will get done unless you ask at least 5-10 times. Escalating to your own Manager will do nothing in most cases and generally results in the group needing to do the work eventually doing it, reluctantly, but will lead to becoming blackballed for future requests. Executive Directors and VP's are part of the Good Old Boys club, and once you're in, you're set. The CEO will never know how badly they run their departments because he's kept in the dark. These Executive Directors and VP's are some of the worst people you will come across, anywhere. Fear is not a tactic that should be used to motivate any employees. Using profanity and calling out people by name in weekly emails about misses does not equate to Managing and leading. Make a difference by listening to ideas and offering solutions, not coming in at 10:30am and leaving at 4:30pm. Instead of offering monthly happy hours and way too extravagant parties, invest that into your employees with training, or better yet hiring new management, directors and VPs. Oh, and you also probably shouldn't allow your employees to use illegal drugs inside of the office either, and get away with it.

    Advice to Management

Nobody will take this review serious or actually act upon anything said here or in any other review but keep in mind, what goes around comes around. Treat people how they would want to be treated or you will find yourself on the other side of the fence one day. Managers, Executive Directors, VPs and the CEO are leading this firm to failure. There is no sign of that trend ending either. Please do not join this company.

I worked at IPSoft (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Parties, Alcohol, Drugs, & Prostitutes in offices - Great View of the Statue of Liberty but that's about it - Hot Secretaries - Free sodas, vitamin water, fruits

    Cons

    - No such thing as professionalism at the workplace - Racism - Most upper management had no prior experience in managing and now they consider themselves GODLIKE creatures where they can talk to others in anyway possible. - Managers curse at employees on a consistent basis - Only care for money from customers but lie about service offerings - Executives walk around drunk on the floors during the day - Most upper management drinks on a daily basis then they return to the NOC afterwards late night with prostitutes in their offices

    Advice to Management

    - STOP getting drunk and focus on your employees & business strategy - CARE for other employee's advice - STOP doing drugs on the jobsite and drinking consistently - NEED to hire new EXECUTIVES if he wants to see this company succeed. - STOP LYING to your employees on how great the company's doing while customers are leaving on a daily basis.

    Pros

Free Drinks, good benefits. Nice location

    Cons

    1. No training at all, you are suppose to learn things on your own. 2. Old documentation and useless wiki. 3. Unsupported "shift managers" that are just out to get you and not for assisting. 4.Phone system that it will call you all times of the day every time a customer updates tickets. 5. Profanity all over no professionalism. 6. No team work, everyone is busy trying to blame the next team member for technical errors. 7. Bashing of current customers. 8. Hard working employees are ignored and bashed by fellow teammates. 9. Political environment. 10. No work-life balance, your family here is suppose to be IPsoft. 11. Small technical mistakes will get you fired

    Advice to Management

Need a comprehensive training program for new team members , profanity has to end, your manager are not proffesionals

    Toxic, Putrid, Ridiculous

    Pros

N/A if you are a qualified professional with verifiable skills, expertise, and experience, especially if you are not an acquaintance of CEO’s relatives or a compatriot of certain executives.

    Cons

    * Most toxic, putrid, ridiculous corporate culture EVER. * Not a technology company, but a circus, party shop, and comedy central. * Thoroughly political atmosphere. * Ignorant, clownish charlatan of CEO whose modus operandi consists of lying, bullying, and manipulating, and who makes all decisions in the most arbitrary way possible. * Rampant hype and hypocrisy - spends millions of dollars to put the company name on the building (of which it is not even a major tenant) while paying well-below-the-market salaries. * Compensation and promotion based on whim, nepotism, and favoritism. * Profound disregard and disrespect for reason, integrity, and competency. * No long-term team/project/process management. * Ad-hoc short-term weekly/daily plans to keep up with the hypes sold to the client companies. * Environment where those do real work hard are ignored, maligned, and eliminated. * Thriving environment only for the lowliest segment of society – HR party/gossip girls who look and act just like prostitutes, no-good executives who spend time chatting out with them, some so-called engineers who spend their days doing anything but real, serious work – in general, all those who could not get employment anywhere else.

    Advice to Management

The management consists of those who create, promote, and reward the toxic culture as described above. No advice can possibly correct them. Advice to Job Seekers: Heed this clearly unsolicited review. Do not join this company unless you absolutely have to.

I worked at IPSoft full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Loved the design of the NOC, how the teams were split up in terms of speciality: Apps, DB, Linux/UNIX, Windows, Networking, Help Desk. Enjoyed learning from fellow Linux/UNIX admins and bouncing ideas off of smart people.

    Cons

Everyone threw profanity around left and right. Didn't appreciate it one bit.

    Advice to Management

Make it a point to make the workplace more professional simply by frowning upon the use of profanity.
