I worked at IRIS Business Services full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible work timings. Friendly and cooperative colleagues. People are soft spoken and relaxed which helps newcomers.

You can easily switch between projects.

Formal office wear is not compulsory (although this does not matter).

I made many "best friends for life" over here.

If you are in the good books of your TL, its very easy to get leaves for genuine personal reasons.

You can leave early or chill out with your colleagues in case there is no work or in case there is very less work.

There are many extra curricular activities.

    Cons

XBRL has not gained a ground in the world, so this field is VERY NICHE. This experience does not count elsewhere.

No limit to work hours during peak period. Forget weekends or bank holidays during the peak period. Even in the non-peak period there are no guaranteed weekends or bank holidays, there is always a "MAYBE YOU WILL BE CALLED". Although comp-offs are given, but a festival has its own importance that cannot be replaced.

There is an uneven number of lazy people and hardworking people in every team, the hardworking ones being constantly burdened. TLs do not have a control over the lazy ones. Since people do not complain openly, the lazy ones do not get exposed and punished (I faced this problem a lot).

Salary hikes are disproportionate and appraisals have no logic. Some salaries were doubled and some got a minuscule raise. No night-shift or overtime allowance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give fixed leaves on weekends and bank holidays, because you don't pay the employees for the same. Since there are regular night shifts you HAVE TO GIVE a night shift allowance over and above the normal salary, there is no excuse out of it.

Have a logical structure for appraisals, do not try to bring people to the same salary levels as that does not make any sense. Salaries depend upon performance and qualification and nothing else.

Keep-up with the relaxed atmosphere, it is the strongest point.

I have been working at IRIS Business Services full-time

    Pros

Well lot of different projects here, some of them are in latest technology.
Chances of being sent to client side.
    good chance to learn.

    Cons

-->Salary and good hikes were one of the pros here..until recently that also got changed.
--> Poor Management, make you work on saturday and even sundays without any extra pay.
--> No process, everybody does their own thing, change requirements etc are all ad hoc.
--> Employees are not treated well, harassed a lot during leaving. Even junior employess are forced to serve 3 month notice period. People in notice period are made to develop new modules or in some case just sit idle still PM would not give the release.
--> Lot of employees resigned in this year. People from MNC's struggle to fit in end up leaving in their probation itself.
--> No proper planing or effective way of working, Some senior employees have started working here as a fresher and never seen the environment out side so they treat the employees as they wish thinking its okay.
--> There is nothing called Work life balance here for some of the people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

--> Take some time to get to know what the employees are going through,
--> If so many people are leaving your organization there has to be a reason right? Figure that out.
--> Start appreciating people who work on weekends monetarily, the see what difference it makes. No body likes to work for free right?
--> Start taking feedback of employees on how the process can be made better. Dont assumes you know it all.
--> Start maintaining a project budget and pay people who work on weekends from that and PM is to be held responsible if he exceeds that.
--> IRIS is a good company. Top management has to take more interest in what goes on in the bottom level. Brainstorm on how to keep your employees satisfied, Its a win win strategy
    Think about that..

I have been working at IRIS Business Services

    Pros

i don't know because i am the student at svit college , vasad and i posted the bad part experienced by me at campus recruitment time.

    Cons

whenever they come to our college for placement, persons are very young and they don't take placement interview seriously. we are 35 student for interview and they took first 16 students as whatever their required quota. 5 of them are selected by JACK(means in hindi - "laag-vag). so after 16 students, we are very sad. they don't given us chance for interview.
    so don't go for it.
this is shows the company management and reputation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

select those students who have the skill for the job. don't go for "laag-vag". becoz we are also standing for that position. so please notice us and then select the people for that job.

A very flexible environment to work. Very good for people who are self motivated

Current Employee - Software Engineer in Vāshi (India)

I have been working at IRIS Business Services

    Pros

The flexibilty in timings of work is incomparable.
Every member of a team is free to implement things using their own logic.
Good chance to go up the ladder if you can keep yourself self motivated and dedicated to the work.
Has the potential to grow manifold with the right people working.
Best place for an experienced IT Expert if he is able to get in.

    Cons

The IT team is a bit sidelined as major credit goes to the XBRL team as it brings in all the revenues.
The senior management has not been able to bring in good projects. All the projects are mostly inhouse projects which are later tried to be sold out without any success.
No proper training for freshers and no documentation of projects.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to get projects rather than making products and selling it out.
Bring in some IITians or IT experts as project managers.
Give proper training to freshers about the basics of the technology they are using.
